That would explain why my favorite french etailer has close to zero reference for GTX770 and GTX780 snice a month. Prolly selling the few remaining to prepare the next gen arrival.

Overclockers UK slashed their GTX780 prices since yesterday.

Wow, looking forward to seeing what these can do, I guess the 4gb means they're aimed at the 4k crowd. Hope they're priced competitively. Does anyone have a reasonable explaination for them switching to the 9xx nomenclature?

Cheapest they have is £329.99 - if that truly is "slashed" then I'm even more happy I paid £100 less than that for a 770!

Probably the same reason they skipped 3xx series. I can't imagine there being a "real" reason to miss out a digit in sequence... perhaps they think it's cool.

Just had a email telling me to upgrade my Catzilla or die, and one of the parts for the upgrade that they have done is add in support for the GTX870 and GTX880.

Will be interesting to see if they do go with the 800 series or 900 series naming.

Nvidia did the same thing with the 100 and 300 series. OEM parts only.
