Shuttle SB51G & 2.4 Ghz P4 or Shuttle SN41G2 & XP1800+ (or better)

Im wanna build a Shuttle for use as a spare machine to backup files to, MP3 player (running 4am Music Console with a touch screen), my DVD player, and as a PVR.

I have two options though:

First a Shuttle SB51G with a 2.4 Ghz P4.

And secondly a Shuttle SN41G2 and something like a XP1800+ (or if I do run it as a PVR, then something like a XP2500+).

What do you guys think would be the best option?

Also, as the SB51G hasn't got onboard TV out, it means Id have to get the TV out addon card for it, or use a graphics card with tv out. But I will also have a PCI capture card in there. So would there be room for both the capture card, and the GFX card/tv out addon?

And which has the quieter PSU and HSF?

The TV-out add-on goes in the AGP slot i believe so you could fit a PCI capture card as well.
Either option of shuttle would work well but you'll have to change the rear fan if you want to use it as some form of HTPC.

Okay

Apparently they use the same HSF and PSU, so they sound the same.

In the end, I guess its down to price.

I would go for the amd option, as a p4 is overkill for your uses, and as you said your selfe the p4 option has no tv-out. Adding those cards gonna cost you. I would only go for the intel if it was your main rig.
