after some thought and a dead dremel clone i came up with this idea ill use a foam head and my dead dremel clone for the front i think to make the front on a plate of wood and then use that as 1 big door that reveals the drives and stuff any suggestions of how to make it cooler? and i havent found a way yet to mount the dremel on a sturdy way
cooler: hmmm....big FANS!!!! dremel: mount it with a good epoxy. Either that or put a few "u" brackets around it.
lol this could be interesting. By the pic right now it seems like a little bit of an eyesore to me. The yellow and black like that are pretty harsh haha. but thats just me. I would maybe drill in some mounts for it to rest on but not appear so and then bondo or epoxy around it.
the idea is to make an pc that screems danger and radiation so the danger stripes would fit in the theme but i'm not sure i agree with the eye soor bit but what will look better...
I think you could still use that theme (yellow Black stripes) but maybe tone it down a bit. Like do it on 2 sides like front back or side/side, and have something to break up the pattern a bit, like fun switches and stuff on the front while all the other sides could be the theme you like.
it would be really cool if you could animate the face somehow. like opening and closing the mouth with HDD activity or something like that.
put some of those sorta fighter aircraft style switches... for lighting or something.. you could also try putting some fake blood down the face.. hehe
you could use like a goo mod on it too like it was leaking radioactive waste or something. could be cool. Bondo would do the trick if you did it right.
the dremel clone mounting screws are on the side wich get mounted to the board i think i will use some extra long screws and screw it to the plate about the face i'm thinking of getting a foam head the kind that you can store your fake hair on and stuff like that about the painting and style stuff i'm not sure yet i'm thinking of the reservoir i saw somewhere it was a tube reservoir mounted to the front of a chieftec but cant find the picture anymore
Make it cooler? Get a massive fan and put it behind the radioactive cutout. Have it run at like 60rpm to keep down on noise, and paint the blades to make them look at nasty and rusty. Would be wicked. I'd hit it.
thank you so much for all your support guys i'm busy drawing on the radiation window on a sidepanel picture's will follow not sure about making it a project log though because some updates will depend on my wallet (wich most of the time is plain empty )
today i started project =]Nukeduud[= at first i drawed the left sided window then i started to cut it with my jigsaw but my "knife" got kinda useless so i bought some new (already got 1 out) and a metal file set the result: now the left side is on my to do list:
thats cool, for cooling, water cool it, it doesnt appear your worried about weight since your using wood. To hold the dremel on, why not take it apart so you have 2 halves then glue or screw one of them on there, itll still look pretty cool that way.
Dude that is one large case, loving the window its looking really good. However i dont think the stripes goes. How about a black case and yellow lighting? then it would be less harsh (to want of a better word). Also this has turned into a log so pm a mod to get it moved. mrplow mister_tad
ok my hands didnt stop itching so i modded =]Nukeduud[= some more i started by drawing the topwindow: and then used my jigsaw to cut it out now if you may know the top of my case consists out of 2 layers the most top is a plastic plate wich is hooked in the second layer of metal and what happens with plastic that gets hot? indeed it melts and if it gets together again its joined again wich happend in my case so when i was ready it looked like this: and then did THIS and left this: but then i realised that my 3.5 inch bay was to long as you can see here cant see it yet? then look here and then it was time to clean up and go write this update and you may wonder where i do this modding so i made some pictures of my workspot tomorrow ill try to make the right panel window
