I realy want to thank all of you for helping me with this... the netgear switch is great but I am unable to find it at a decent price so I think I will go with the D-link DSS 8+. I can get it from New Egg for $50...not bad IMO! I May need ya'lls help in the futer when I get it and set up the network!

Thanx Ya'll

what version of windows do you have? if you have windows XP then it will work fine. if you want to share files, be sure you install the IPX/SPX protocal
hmmm i dont think you do need it installed to share files ?

what it is that if u use tcp/ip to connect to internet through ICS (which i dont recomment as i dont like it at all but if u must )that sort of thing its more efficient to have another protocol installed to share files and stop tcp/ip sharing files....ie install ipx/spx and disable file print sharing on tcp/ip - this is without using a router just using a hub to split the broadband eithernet connection....
