The Rock Direct mobile LAN bus

Can you come up with a great use of this mobile LAN-station? We all know it could be used for playing games on the move, but where would you play them and how? Post your ideas and we just might see what we can do...

cool, the use for that kind of bus as an advertising bus at events or as a cool "competition bus" for games like set it up for final games lock the door after last player and put up an projector for the outsiders to check it out on

can even be used as "Rent a lan"

game of BF2 whilst driving arround. Also what is needed is an outside projector hooked up to the same interface as the plasma screen so that the image can be projected outside for passing people to watch (just project the image onto the floor)!!!

" (just not of many colour options available at no extra cost) "
just one?

Hmmm... I think this bus should have some kind of satellite for internet access. Maybe even a wifi antenna to connect to hotspots?

I want to see how long the bus is, the front makes it look like it would be quite small but then the inside makes it look huge

Well... it seats 12 gamers... looking at the internal pic, I would guess that there are five seats on the right side, and seven on the left. Each seat/desk appears to be about a meter long, so that would make the passenger area roughly seven meters. Add two meters to the front for the driver, and one to the back for other stuff, and you've got a ten-meter bus.

TMM, you can game excelently with a touch pad. I've played several RTS games without my mouse. For FPSs, though, MX518 is one of a very few ways to go.

I think if you look closely, you will see that the plasma screen is mounted at the very back wall, which is mirrored to give the illusion of greater space.

Bear in mind that Wil's camera doesn't have a wide-angle lense, so isn't ideal for taking indoor shots in a relatively small space. It's a Mini Bus, so it's the next size up from a large SUV, but smaller than a fullsize Coach

Hahaha...go to a scenic location, so that you can be inside a sealed bus staring at a laptop screen?

Have something like this outside of a mall or near a EB store. Some were where gamers go. Also you could also rent the bus out to movies. Like a mobile commands centre.

Yes!

I have that laptop (there are two kinds on the bus).

It's not explicitly mentioned, but it's a Clevo notebook, The one i have is Sager branded (NP9880), but it is hardware identical to the Alienware Area 51m 7700, with the exception of the plastic cover on the screen.

If you look vagely carefully at it, you can see were the mirror is, and from that it makes the bus look quite a bit smaller.
