All these 'Comparison' pics in this thread so far, are fake, in my opinion. someones been playing Rolf Harris.... "Can ya see what it is yet"
I wish they werent fake. id like to know exactly who issused them. for example look on page 1, the last comparison shot, the real (left) pic has a shadow on the ground of a palm leaf, look at the foliage in the shot, theres no palm trees.
theres just something wrong with it, that doesnt sit right, the sun appears to be off to the right, the palm shadows dont look right, and there even a different shade to the other shadows. You believe it if you like. But untill someone confirms the source and background information, i dont.
So your saying the "real" pics are computer graphics as well? Wouldn't that just be good, and nothing to moan about?

Just get the first few updates for vista and you'll be fine. The only problem I have is in BF2142 and thats a game issue not vista.
slightly off topic... Just a quick note on BF2142... found that if you don't have a folder called 'My Documents' it doesn't want to run. Could be your problem in Vista. It happens on XP if your 'My Documents' is/are stored in the root of a mapped drive from a file server. Many hours of annoyance trying to work that one out!
Yeah Unfortunately if you move 'C:\My Documents' to simply 'Z:' it just fails and doesn't tell you why. If it's 'Z:\My Documents' it's fine again Other games seem to be happy regardless of location. But yeah, sorry for being off topic!
also off topic but you can change the path of my docs in the registry. or when you move it have you tried using UNC path as opposed to drive letter? change the path in "personal" key to desired path at the following locations as usual, don't screw with registry unless you know what youre doing Spoiler HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders [edit] note that it just moves the my docs path, it doesn't actually copy the data or anything...

Brother, if there was nothing left to moan about, most forum users the world over would go into shock and die. This entire thread has been people laying the smack down on "the wave doesn't fall right!" or "the ground texture isn't varied enough!" or "that object is too blurred, omg!" Jesus said it first.
