I am kind of disappointed by the review. I think this game is fantastic. I have been playing it for the last few days constantly. The graphics are great, the guns are cool and the vehicles are fun.
I like the story, sure its not the most complicated thing in the world but it ties in the sections of the game nicely.
I have no idea how long is left in the game, I killed green eye a few missions ago. I really enjoy fitting out my VS with 2 laser guns too :D. The bosses are cool to fight with also.

    Amnesiac = sufferer of amnesia.
I guess you're too young to know what that is.

    I hate to nitpick, but…
Procedural memory (which involves knowing how to do things such as ride a bike or, in this case, pilot a VS :)) is separate from declarative memory (which involves facts and memories), and there are plenty of documented cases where an individual suffered from damage to one section but not the other.

Yes, I did just complete an introductory Psychology course. How did you know?

tbh I picked this up at Tesco for a mere 15 quid and I must say that for a mindless shooting game its a lot of fun. i'll agree that paying the full 30-35 for it would be a bit harsh but id give it a 7/10 myself.

I played it on the 360. Didn't care for it.

    "nesercarily"

I can never ever spell that word. Not ever. I'd normally try to get as close as I can and then let word auto-correct, but that one I can't even ever get close enough for word to guess. It was very embarassing when I got a handwritten essay handed pack with it circled five or so times in my first year of uni, especially because I was studying English. :duh:

    Fair review.

I'm not buying it on principle. Its not finished.

I'll pick it up in some distant play.com sale, but not before.

Played it, didn't like it, left it on the shelf to rot.

Good review, well said and accurate

You NEED a 360 controller not to feel like your struggling to even play the damn game. Luckily I have one, unluckily it doesn't improve the game much

My 'lost' experience was exactly 13 seconds. then i ditched the demo. Because i absolutly hate 3th person gameplay. And i also believe any 3th person game is a console ripoff.

He's not missing out on much, but with such a tunnel vision approach to what a good PC game consists of he's missing out on some other amazing games in 3rd person perspectives. Mafia was brilliant. Splinter Cell's 1 2 and 3 were awesome. (those are the two that spring to mind as they are on my desk in front of me)

Not forgetting games like world of warcraft...

Basically, not all 3rd person games are console rip-offs.

Sorry for being unclear; that's what I meant: games played from a 3rd person perspective. Not Lost Planet in particular, which I've only played a bit at the EBGames X-Box 360 kiosks and so can't really comment on.

Or any of the Tomb Raider games. Legend and Anniversary were very, very good.
