Your on RTS for me, C&C and Supcom make me a happy bunny. But, Halo/2/2PC and BF2/2142 also cut my RTS habbits, but I do also enjoy a good Simulation, so i did so some chosing of RTS. Sam
1. Games with an interesting story-line, eg. HL series. 2. FPS multiplayers that require strategy and more thinking than average. I'd love to try Deus Ex sometime, as the gameplay type sounds really interesting.
I mostly play the source games and BF2, and I've always been an FPS nut, ever since the early days of Doom and Quake. I do however also enjoy the occasional RTS and RPG.
FPS by a nose for me, I also love to play a good strategy game, RPG, well, I like pretty much every game so long as it's good.
I like action/adventure games like Beyond Good and Evil, Psyconauts, the first Prince of Persia. Too bad the action/adventure type is pretty much dead. FPS games that have a good amount of story/puzzles and RTS are good too.
I mainly play FPS (Goldeneye started that off I guess), but I like some RTS and also games like Super Mario and Super Smash Brothers I love to death, and not forgetting games like GTA and Metal Gear Solid. Think this comes down to the PC/Console divide. FPS mainly for PC though.
I love good games and i hate bad ones and i hate genres !! Its the same with music THeres good music and bad music. We all play good games and listen to good music and the rest we dont give a **** about. It all comes down to the game itself and not the genre.
True, but then again, generally, I don't like driving games aside from a few very good examples of the genre, even if a particular driving game is good, I still probably won't like it as I find them repetitive and boring.
even tho i play fps lately i'm always awaiting for good RTS games to get on a acceptable price (supcom)
Yes but then that game falls under the "Bad Game" Category and who knows one day you might find a driving game you like
That's an extremely simplistic and fallable position to take. I do not enjoy the works of Chopin, and yet I know full well that he was not a "bad" composer. Likewise Veles may not enjoy playing a specific driving game and yet recognise that for those who do enjoy driving games it is an excellent example of the genre. Do not let a dislike of labels get in the way of recognising good and bad.
Can we seperate first and third person shooters? I love first person games, but third person really irritates me.
its too hard choice to make really ideally id have the the ability to vote for "games i like", or be able to vote for multiple genres, would be nice to see side scrolling beat em ups on the list but its not like any have been made recently over all id have to say adventure games, nothing come close to the fun ive had playing them, especially the lucasarts SCUMM based games (monkey island's, DOTT, Sam & Max, Indiana Jones, Loom etc.) and well im yet to find anything which come close to the awesomeness of grim fandango and the new sam & max games although a little short are totally cushty, would just be nice if the episodes were slightly more integrated, or maybe had a launcher for the episodes, so you didnt have to leave the game to play the episode, e.g. the episode were akin to a world, which could be played as standalone games, but when u have the whole season additional content is unlocked and just ties the games together oh well ho humm adventure it is!!!!!!
International compettion floats my boat, games like tekken5 where as having all the major martial arts styles from all over the world really makes it easy to find players who appreciate other competitors. CS, starcraft, and red alert2 have at least some gamers in every country....
I must protest... third person is not first person. I chose first person but i really did not want to because i dont want to choose third. I hate third. I want to be first
