News World in Conflict has gone gold

Sierra Entertainment has announced that World in Conflict, the highly-anticipated real-time strategy game from Massive Entertainment, has gone gold.

 

w00t, too bad the Beta ended :/

Is it me, or is it that many a great game are being released weeks apart from each other?

Games like this are the reasons to go geforce 8xxx card, and DX10.

Remember guys, XP is only DX9. DX10 is the future of hardware compatibility with software. Without it, your seriously hindering your entire system. id not recommend it my self crash alot more on Vista, but still its an nice game rock solid on XP

played the game in beta and had lots of fun (and seen alot of nukes )

 

this is bad, i can see this lil' gem giving me the excuse i was really trying NOT to find to chop in my x1950pro for something a tad meatier!

 

Played in the beta which was great. It's a clever combination this game, you have the same fast and furious action that you would normally associate with a FPS, but in an RTS. Being in control of only a few units, is also a welcomed break from the usual larger scale management seen in RTS games, as this creates a more relaxed environment to play in. This could be the bridge for traditionally non-RTS players to try out and enjoy.
