    I have just purchased a -

ASUS CROSSHAIR Republic of Gamers Series - ATX - nForce 590 SLI - Socket AM2 – Motherboard
And I was wondering what processor, graphics card and memory to use.

I would like them to be fast and make a good system.

    All PCB’s must be black!!!

    I was thinking of:
    Corsair dominator memory (with fan)
    Duel-core processor
    A high-end graphics card – black PCB:thumb:

    I appreciate any help
    Thanks:thumb:

Corsair Dominator has nice black heat-spreaders that will look good. An Athlon64 X2 6000+ is the current highest stock clocked CPU from AMD. The graphics card could be an 8800GTX or 8800GTS, as there are black PCB and green PCB versions of each of those.

Athlon64 X2 6000+ is kinda a waste of money. It runs at 3GHz. My 5200+ runs at the same speed ;). Just overclock a lower end proccy as the 6000+ don't clock very well at all.
Oh, and I'm using a Freezer64 Pro for a heatsink. They cost around £13 and aren't the best HS available. A 5200+ will OC like a mother....

And to clarify above, newer 8800s are black while the older ones (like mine :() are green.

I suggest Intel. It's not much more expensive, but it's much faster and overclocks better. Try the eVGA 680i board, a Q6600, etc..

While I'd agree with the sentiment I think unfortunately you may be a bit late with the suggestion.

i will go with a AMD Athlon 5200+ Processor

probably a nVidia 8800GTS Graphics Card

    corsair dominator memory

what about a power supply the it has to be over 700W, have a 8 pin ATX +12V power plug, must have at lest 16A and 19A at peak of the +12V_2 lead

I'd go for the Enermax Infiniti 720. Think it fulfils all your requirements. One of them's going in my new box.

Nice! I'm about a month away from getting my box together (everything new); only bought the processor and case so far (the obvious choice to start with). Just getting stuff as it comes on offer :p.

    I haven’t got a specific budget
It will just depend on how long it takes to finish it.

I have like £ 200 atm but I get like £10-£20 a week and it’s Christmas in a few months.

27" HDTV?? TV?? Please don't tell me you're using it as a PC monitor. It'll be alright for gaming at 5 feet away but not arms length.

A 27" TV has a typical resolution of less than a 17" TFT.

can I ask, why did you buy the mobo before you decided on the processor?

Anyway, I would stick to air, water is not worth the hassle and price for this system. 5200+ for the processor.
