Nothing personal, but would it kill you to explain what you're on about? Ms-Paint-ified screenshots and an enraged splutter don't really convey your point :-/

Yeah- there are a few filter options that aren't options for tagging new posts, and vice-versa:

Project Logs forum: "Project Log" isn't a tag option
Tech Support forum: "****!" and "HELP!" aren't tag options
Gaming forum: "Consoles" and "Handheld" aren't tag options
General: "Poll" isn't a tag option

And the other way around, there's no filter for "SOLD" in the For Sale & Wanted forum.

I can see a case for removing them, as the ones that aren't available for new threads have been replaced with more specific tags. (Except maybe "****!", which makes a great replacement for the "disaster mods" section.) However, it would be convenient for some people's mental health if the filters were labled as "deprecated", or something like that.

They shouldn't open in a new tab, as I'm specifically making sure we're not using a target="_blank" tag on the link. It's a bit simpler than that though, as we write in BBCode to make sure the html is consistent and there are two different tags - one for open link in new window and one for opening in the same window. If you could point out any stories where the discussion link opens in a new window, I'll be happy to go and fix them.

We typically use the logic of open in new Window if the link isn't the next logical page. Of course, some would argue that all links should open in the same window, but then if we were to send you off to another article in the first sentence of a review/news article, you'd potentially not get back to the article that you actually came to read. Links to the forums at the end of articles should open in the same window though, as the discussion page is logically the next page to read at the end of an article.

 

You can still filter by some legacy tags that you can not create new threads under. This will be the case until we deem the tag is no longer required for filtering.

Also I was wondering If you stuff can change the Letter "k" on my name from to small k to Big K, mean from "k" to "K" or this will be in english grammer wrong? I think it's 2 words so they must be Capital letters

We've been complaining about it since the start, tagging should be implemented as an aid not the sole method.

 

Unfortunately there's not much choice, I have a script that removes the images and so on so you can't see them.

I just saw these tags in Project Logs and wondered. I guess I do understand the difference between casemod and scratch build, but then what's project log for?

And what does ****! in Modding stand for?

Hey, can i just say being a new person to the forum i personaly found the way its been down more complicated. I dont know what it was before. But ive come form the overclockers forum with many sub divisions and i think it works better like that. Its to mixed up with everything in everywhere. i wasn't actually sure where to post some things or if they had been posted before because it would take so long to look through the more resent ones to find decent things. Just seems more daunting to have to use search to find something i could easly find if it was in a sub division every time.

Sorry to be negative but i can only compare it to others i have come from with sub divisions. I think the way it is designed now atchualy scares new people away more then it helps to entice them.

 

Maybe there should be a short explanation of what each tags is supposed to mean exactly. In the beginning, I had problems figuring that out.

There are subdivisions, even though it looks differently. You just have to click on the filter tag.

 

I know there are tags but why use tags over sub divisions? is it to make the forums look more busy? Seems like overcomplicating things and making it look messy.
