So after being a longtime lurker (about 4 years) I have finally come to my senses and decided to begin a work log.

This is my first project so I´m supposed there will be some trile and error but I think it will come out great in the end if everything goes as I want it to.
Anyway nuff said and I will let the images speak for themselves (with my comments off course ;) )

    The aluminium
    [IMG]

    The circle
    [IMG]

    circle side viev
    [IMG]

Circle wield (I didn't wield the aluminium)

    Front aluminium panels
    [IMG]

Image of front cutouts, and back engraving (probably)

    Traced the sketch
    [IMG]

engraving the contours so they wont disappear
    [IMG]

    Powersupply :blah: (only 400w)

    Starting the build
    [IMG]

    Cutting
    [IMG]

This is how far I got on one "blade"

    Allmost done
    [IMG]

the last bit to cut on this one
    [IMG]

getting a bit tired of cutting and makes some misstakes and breaks 2 blades in a row :duh:

    Finaly done
    [IMG]

    More updates tomorrow
now I have to go to bed.

    Thanks Supra55.

So no upgrade today because I have been on a Logitech resellers event in Stockholm today and checked out some of the new stuff coming from them and I just have to say that I really like the new MX Air mouse and I really want one, it worked really well. I also tried the new Wave keyboard and looked at the VX Nano and some of the old stuff like Dinovo Edge and Harmony1000.
I´m a litle disappointedly at the G9 mouse I thought it would be something really cool for gamers but I wont change my MX Revolution for that.
Anyway It has been a really nice day and some more updates will come tomorrow.

    Good night

Good job with the engravings. Why did you use the Ferm and cutting disks to cut straight lines? I don't get it, hacksaw is sooooooooOoOoOoOO much better in straight lines. No blades wasted and the job gets done in no time.

    So on with todays update.

I decided to take some pictures of my new hardware now that my Motherboard has come.
It´s an ASUS P5N32-SLI, I changed my Stiker Extreme for this one, I really liked the Looks of the stiker but I only had problems with it so I dcided to try this one instead and when I´m done with this I just hav to get the Maximus Blits, or what it´s called, but for now this will have to do.

So here is the hardware all together, unfortunately this wont go in the Circle because I only have a 400W power supply in there.

With the super case :jawdrop: I´m using for this one at the moment
    [IMG]

Just the case, off course I´m going to mod it, but thats my next project´m starting when Circle Butterfly is almost done :D
    [IMG]

Motherboard in Circle. Looks really ncie
    [IMG]

    150GB raptor
    [IMG]

    4GB memory
    [IMG]

    Graphixcards
    [IMG]

    another view
    [IMG]

    Now what is this box??

Oh it´s my 700w Recommended by Bit-Tech Tagan modular power supply

Anyhow nuff with hardware and on with moddingware:eyebrow:

So I needed a good circle in the right sice, and I looked everywhere till I found this and I traced it :thumb:

Starting the cutting of my little circle... ore drilling actually
    [IMG]

    more drilling....

    Halfway there
    [IMG]

And I´m done drilling :thumb: now this was a really long proses and I have so much more to drill:duh:

    Cutting
    [IMG]

    And it´s´finally free
    [IMG]

    It fits like a glove:thumb:

Well thats all for today folks, now I´m off to bed as usually.
Tomorrow I will cut the big circle with my new hacksaw:clap:

thanks dudes I really appreciate your´e comment´s and here is a little update of what I did last night, it´s not much but I started really late so I did´t have allot of time or energy to do so much and off course I forgot my camera:wallbash: so I had to use my mobile phone camera so it´s not the best quality images today. Anyway here is the update.

So I started to cut the aluminium and with all the holes it does´t take to long.

and I´m done with the cutting
    [IMG]

    and a little closeup
    [IMG]

    and in the circle
    [IMG]

thats all for now, more coming soon.

    So here is todays update.
It was a good day until the end, you will see.

But first some images from yesterday, I forgot my camera in workshop yesterday, so here is that update.

    Setting up for some grinding,
    [IMG]

and this is how it turns out, I will have to do the narrow parts by hand with a file
    [IMG]

I can´t do more than this with my tools at the moment, and all my grinding rolls are out
    [IMG]

this is all thats left:waah: no more grinding untill I go shop
    [IMG]

    So on with todays update.

I started with grinding out some guides so that my drill wont go all over the place
    [IMG]

It doesetn look verry good I know but here its all done
    [IMG]

Then I started to drill some holes, the guides worked pretty well
    [IMG]

drilled allot of holes, I someone knows a better way of doing this without a saw please tell me now because I have alot more holes to do
    [IMG]

now I start to cut away those peaces
    [IMG]

but it really takes allot of time and those cutting disks are just all over the place, with this peas I used about 5 cutting disks, but I was a bit tired so I will blame on that :D
    [IMG]

So when I had done this I tough why not try my power supply :thumb: I haven't done that yet, just opened it and this is what happened
    [IMG]
I short circuit the hole room and leaved this marks :wallbash:
I feel like such a NOOB:duh: trying my power supply and not moving the aluminium.:duh::wallbash:

    Anyway thats all for today
    Good night

you might wanna look into getting an actual grinding wheel instead of using those replaceable sanders...
for example: the little grinder in this...can't seem to find one on it's own(usually come in a set)
