Awesome! A Pagan amongst us. Glad to see them come out of the woodwork on their new year's. I have many friends who are as well. Blessed Be and have a safe Samhain.
Drinking this friday as a pre-halloween excuse to drink. Halloween itself, I may go to the local public house to partake in the drinking of some beers in peace and quiet with some friends.
Partying... But since when do you non-American folk do halloween? I thought it was one of those USA only holidays that other countries laughed at us for, kinda like Thanksgiving. (I know its been going on here in the US since the mid 1600s).
Not specifically celebrating as such however I am going for a game of airsoft (on the 28th) as my local site is doing a "Halloween special" which apparently involves optional fancy dress and some themed games, also I heard of something to do with exploding pumpkins
We've been doing it in the UK since I was born at least, and has Hex (kind of) said, it's based on Samhain, which is an old Galic thing.
Get some of those sweets that have that laxative ingredient in them. Some kind of sugar free sweets I think. The kids will wonder who this amazingly generous person is, and you will be laughing, knowing that in an hour or two their night will be rudely interrupted We used to actually burn real people for funsies!
Hopefully i'll be playing Hellgate: London as it's released that date. That's as long as i can find somewhere that sells it.
Hahaha! Too bad for you, CardJoe! Eh, maybe we can trick someone from TrustReviews to go through that door.
Abby just rocks! Huge bottle of highly caffinated drink, McGee constantly trying to/trying not to hit on her, and she just rocks. Pauley Perette really works Abby well. We demand pics of your costume (if you have any!) Whereas I shall be having an evening of beer, wine, boardgames, and a nice roaring fire. Then, on the night itself, I shall be going to the local rock/metal club-based establishment and imbibing excessive amounts of alcohol, and then catching a cab home, and trying not to wake up my housemates who aren't into the "young 'uns scene", bearing in mind that the younger of the two is four years older than me and the other is 7 years older than me.... But yes, alcohol, friends, good music, a night of general chill-out-ery. I shall be equipping my house with varying things for Halloween. Including carving a pumpkin. Hee, can't wait! Joe
