Yeah, a lot of places these days use snowflex, which is a lot nicer, with no nasty holes to trap your fingers in. It's also cushioned so it won't hurt so much when you fall over.

Dendix ain't too bad for falling over on - you just have to be careful never to fall on your hands while wearing gloves tbh. Although I must say, once I started moving properly I'd only fall over at the bottom and top (low speed), so it wasn't too bad. The dry slope near home have had the snowflex stuff on the beginner's slopes for a couple of years now.

Good stuff. I really hope I can get mine hooked up again soon... I miss having some half-decent sound.

I feel sorry for you guys learning to ski/board on surfaces other than real snow. Colorado has two resorts open already with real snow ;P

Yeah - they're some quality speakers for PC use. They're not Hi-Fi so don't expect pure magic for music (I know that'll come across wrong - they're very good for music, but can't really compare to a very nice hifi setup, which would probably cost a lot more anyways), but they're the best sounding PC speakers I've ever heard. And someone around here pointed out some tricks you can do on the control pod - if you hold four of the five buttons (all but the second-right one, I think), you can put it in second skin mode which changes the colors and volume control. Anyways, I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

And I'd suggest not taking them over half-volume or so (in the normal skin mode anyways, it's higher up in the second one) as you'll probably blow your eardrums unless you're in quite a large room. They can get stupidly loud, and I've never heard them distort.

As for me, I've just picked up a bag each of potato chips and cheez-its from a vending machine... cheap man's lunch :worried:
