8 months later and I am finally going to get back to this project. I'll have to order a replacement motherboard and I'll have to remake the PSU and drive bay cover piece. I'm also contemplating switching out the pump. The reason is that I would like to have a computer for the Home Theater setup I am working on in December. This computer will be used to play video games with 3D glasses on a 120" screen. More details to come soon.
wow the return of the slug! cant wait to see what you have got planned! back to your brilliant modding skills that im (slightly) jealous of lol good luck
Finally! I've really missed this project. Great to see you back, and I can't wait to see what you've planned.
It's great to see you back!!! You still going with water for this setup? Your blocks were amazing... When you're all reacclimated to us and everything, PM me, I wanted to ask a question...
Yes I'm going to be making a delrin top for the CPU waterblock. The video card might go back to air cooling though. I haven't decided yet.
Currently ordering supplies and designing new parts. I've ordered a replacement motherboard and I'm upgrading to a newer video card which will have a full-cover waterblock. I'm going to be making a reservoir And a threading adapter block for the full cover block. And probably a new pump top.
Reservoir is done. The bottom ports connect to each other and not to the inside of the reservoir. Why they do that will make more sense later.
All of the tooling work was done using manual equipment. If I had access to CNC Anything I would be concentrating on making my own waterblocks from scratch.
Type-I Gray PVC. Very easy material to work with if you keep it cool, and it's dirt cheap. Most of the custom parts for this project are being made out of PVC. Only the CPU waterblock top will be made out of Delrin because that will give it better contrast against the motherboard cover.
Is that modded chair aswell with the rear speakers on it heh. I've been following this mod since you started and I'm loving that resevoir.
