haha your work area looks alot like mine. I'm in the same boat as you MS. Got a ton of weight on my shoulders and modding just seems like a chore. I will return though, when I've figured out some things. But for now, I'll join you in the real world which can reeeaaaaally suck sometimes. I toast you with an e-beer

Your O-so right Fozzy.. When modding becomes a chore, it's time to step-away (for the time-being)..
The holidays also come into play.. A very-busy time of year:

    it's a wonderful life!
    Christmas in the SlaughterHouse:

    RME fireface400 click

    volume control Nano Patch

    Dynaudio BM6A powered speakers click

MAN-- it sounds great! Using foobar2000 jukebox
    and MP4 wave-compression.
    Happy-Holidays one and all!

I like those speakers. What amplifier are you using? Standard foobar with no plugins + asio kernel-streaming?

    Also, no flac love? :(

They are powered speakers (amps built-in).. here is the spec-page. They are great sounding speakers and have amazing bass for there size, perhaps someday I will add there matching subwoofer.
The asio plugin for foorbar is less than great (I played with it for awhile), it's not ready for prime-time IMHO.
Flac the lossless compression method, also played with that. To my ears the ACC compression (mp4) sounds as good and the files are smaller. On the water cooled computer front, a new product from the good-guys at EkWaterBlocks

    Ek Supreme universal CPU block

they are also making some pretty nickel-plated VGA blocks

Excellent mod modsquad! Definitely think you should finish it... someday, when you get that modding feeling. No rush! I, for one, am a patient person.. I can wait, cause I know it'll be worth it. ^_^

About that solidworks model (looks good), did you model it yourself or did you find it on some site? I'm a sw user as well (not very advanced yet), and good models of computer hardware is nice to have access to. Will need (would like to get hold of) some accurate CAD drawings of some stuff to help me plan a scratch build project of mine (internal space is at a premium).

Best of luck with life and take care!

Great to hear from you, modsquad!

After the holidays, I should have a new log coming up. Think LOTS of hardwood, watercooling, and chainmail. And hobbitses.

Hey Modsquad, just wanted to drop by and wish you a merry X-mas and a happy new year (also checked the progress, which was great to say the least).

I'm struggling with the same problems here, no time for modding since I'm working full time, but I'm still hoping for a bit of modding time so that I could bring you guys an update.

Take your time, we ain't going nowhere.

    Sincerely

    Darkened

NO-sorry, no progress to report as of yet. Been going through major real-world stuff, and I just have not had/found time for BN.. With any-luck, that will change very-soon! It's nice to be missed, thanks head..:thumb:
