Original story What I always wonder is what a coumpany would want this information for. I mean, unless Sears is going into the porn business, how would they benefit from knowing what I look at?
I'm guessing so they know what your interested in, so can target you with ads relating to those types of products (to buy from them). Or they could just sell that info... maybe...
Somewhere in sears something is really wrong. Back when my girlfriend was working for sears, they decided to get rid of their credit card department. sold it to some other company, which made them some good money in the short term but the money that they were consistantly making from the interest charges on people's credit cards was one of their bigger money makers. If this is so that they can collect and sell data on customers then I see it as a desperate attempt to make some money. Which is a shame because i like sears, its a nice store. Some are better than others, the one where i live is kind of nasty but the one back home in halifax was/is a really nice store to shop in.
Yeah I wonder which part of that is due to useless managers\CEOs\board members\shareholders who are only interested in the short term stock market performance of the company.
yeah exactly, lets make some money quick so i can sell some stock and go live it up down south this winter.
why would they be interested in short term stock performance? that doesn't make any sense. well, back to the topic... is Sears facing a privacy suit or something? _________________________ iPhone is in my Christmas list!
