Stuff like that happens quite a lot to the video billboards on the London Underground. One of the screens that I pass every morning has been showing the XP Embedded splash for ages now :D

Saw this at an airport once.
Wasn't on the same screen as my flight, and I was already off my plane.
    I wasn't worried.

The NVidia Desktop Manager came on at the target center when I was there for a concert. It was really really bright in an otherwise dark room. It was funny when the Guy singing asked them to "Please click ok"

It happens in North America too. Take this post I made when I was in Canada back in 2004.

Phew, surely reality can't be THAT bad. Can it?

I've seen so many like that. 42" Plasma Information screens at Luton airport BSOD'd. Systems that run the DLR ticket machines also run Windows. In-flight entertainment systems on 747's run Linux, but still occasionally crash and get stuck at GRUB.

I remember some years back I was flipping through the channels at some ungodly hour of the morning. One of the local stations had ended normal broadcasting and was showing the live weather radar.

Right in the middle of the screen was a notice that Windows had automatically adjusted the clock for Daylight Saving Time. I guess the overnight engineer was too lazy to get up and click OK.

    It's not a European problem, it's a Microsoft problem.

The solution is a little town called Linux.....
