An interesting topic came up last night during an intense session of PES and beer. If you boil a condom does it become stretchy enough to fit of large objects, ie the classic phone box? Well unfortunately the web failed me on this quest and i only found a couple of pages which gave conflicting results, but i did find this page which said, condom + water = fire. So i clicked he link and found out that it does. How ever i still dont know if boiling a condom makes it super stretchy. I think some practical experimentation is required.
That's really cool - I'd never have thought a condom could be used as a decent lens, I would've guessed that the light going through it is too diffuse... Condoms are pretty stretchy, but they're also remarkably thin, so stretching them to fit over phone boxes and stuff might not work. You could try boiling some extra thick ones I suppose.

Could chemicals be used? I was using some surgical gloves (latex...?) and degreasing some parts in a basin. The gloves very quickly expanded massively, but still didn't let any degreaser through. Something like this could help perhaps?
I don't really know. It was at someone else's workshop I was justing borrowing to degrease some bits of ally if that helps. It was black (as it'd been used for a while).
I like how the soldiers in WWII used condoms to cover the end of their rifles bet some of them got depressed when they used theirs all up after landing lol
Just thinking about that gave me the willies... Wouldn't even want one close to 1 litre size near me... much less fit!
Nice find - but what if you only have one condom left? Then you have a little bit of a dilema! Do you: 1) keep it in your pants but enjoy hot cooked food and a warm campfire? 2) take a risk and then enjoy hot cooked food and a warm campfire and then a nice sleep? 3) kid yourself that you'll just fool around but not end up taking any risks, and then enjoy hot cooked food and a warm campfire and then a nice sleep? 4) f@$# it up, not get a fire started, and then take a risk which provides warmth & a nice sleep anyway? The above choices assume you are camping with a partner of your choice, if you are solo, then you wouldn't have any condoms on you, unless you are overly optimistic i guess.
