Oh they last... I just sold mine to a friend at 201400 miles and was still going strong. Dirt cheap to maintain. I drove pretty aggressively in that car too. That engine saw 5500rpm pretty often.

    At 14400 miles/year, I suspect it'll last for a while yet... ;)

Custom remaps near me are £250 for them and get 180 bhp although there is extra stress on the mechanicals mainly the clutch due to the extra torque passing through it which can make them last as little as 20,000 miles depending on how easy or hard you are on them, but like i say with a dirt monster it isnt the bhp you want to be looking at its the torque which surpasses the 300 mark I do believe.

Would post my car but its a crap rusting polo that I love to bits lol

Finally got round to photographing my motor, but of an upgrade from my Nova:

Vauxhall Astra 1.4 :) I don't mind the engine size, as its a step up from the nova (1.2), and helps that it doesn't cost too much in petrol (45mpg ish), of which i drive about 70 miles a day

    Guess what guys

I drove the car around town the other day to show my friends. They all live nearby and it's a 100% residential area so I didn't have to drive fast or anything. Summer tires(the low profile ones) were fine enough traction wise for this

well guess what. I got a flat ! damnit
I don't know yet if it's fixable, but there is no hurry for now as the winter tires are installed. I'll pay my credit card and then I'll see what i can do

The garage is slightly wider than the door, by about 6 inches. I put the car to one side, and it gives me just enough room to jump out! :)

    Thanks!

Amazing car, you are one lucky man.

May I ask how much a car like that would set me back?
