It sounds like you have a dust filter mask instead of a chemical resperator. Either that or it's gone off. I found out the hard way that painting masks can go bad. I had a fun time trying to drive home that night. They start stinking of fumes inside even when you aren't painting.

Voyager has 7 of 9, I have 1 of 4. First handle cut out:

I need to cut off the width of the masking tape and make 3 more. Grind them smooth, and on and on.

I'll be at the bench for a while.

John, just letting you know I decided to vote for your mod this month. Good luck on the polls, even though you need to add some MDF wood panels on it to make it 'cool'.

 

Thanks E.E.L. for the vote. But for the wood I'm more of a teak and mahogany modder than MDF (too dusty) LOL

John --> If you know anyone who can mill those for you, get it done! You've done a crazy good job, but if you cut them 1-2mm from the edge, and get them milled, they will be straight and perfect! And you won't have to sand and all that!

 

I still have the machine shop guys lurking in the background, but I kind of like the "by my own hand" style. Besides, I am having fun and learning a ton!

The last movie quote nobody remembered was from "Day After Tomorrow" when the dude falls through the glass ceiling of a mall.

I found a great carry case for Sacrilege! It goes with me everywhere now. I'll include a pic in the next update.

Baby's new bag

I mentioned that I found a carry bag for Sacrilege in another post. Here it is - Sacrilege now goes everywhere with me.

This is why it fits. Cool humped up top:


I can remove the embroidered lettering on the front with a seam ripper. Or not. It's not important, but it's tacky.

It almost actually weighs nothing - even with the outside pockets full of pieces not yet fitted.

A place for everything and everything in it's place.
