Let me guess, it's one of those evil TP dispensers that only lets you have 1 square at a time?

Yes, and all the while telling you that you made the intelligent choice and things are so much easier than with the Microsoft TP dispenser.

    Mission accomplished

How about I take another case and make a matching external raid array like Sirocco's link.
    LOL !
Whack up two G5s and I'll never get invited to any Mac User Group meetings! Sad - NOT !!!!
John - I booted Mac in college but I didn't inhale.

    Rear question

    Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are getting ready for one of our normal March deep snowfalls. The watches and warnings are out so I'm off to the grocery store to resupply. While I'm out I would like some feedback on an idea. Still trying to maintain the G5 look, so:
Two 40mm fans for the rear, mounted inside, and meshed in like the original rear:
The Mac Pro only has one fan and the G5 has 2.
Won't be necessary for cooling since the mini-itx is fanless but just to keep the look.
    Thoughts?
    John

Uhmm... noise? Can you use one 80mm fan?

    Otherwise really looking great!

My Mac-victim-friend got a fit yesterday when I shoed your G5 bog roll dispenser to him. His face... to funny! I told him you've thrown out the hardware (2 xeons) because you didn't like it. ;)

Yeah, i would go with an 80, 92 or 120 if you can as 40mm fans are quite noisy.

ps when do the G5 bog roll dispensers go into production? :)

hello John ... If i were you ... ;) ok my opinion - one BIG 120mm will be ok this cube is like takin g5 a bit not serious... big fan will look ok and at 6v will be noiseless.

go for Xthermal BTF 120 PRO - they look really nice and are really quiet even at higher RPMs
or the king of silence Noctua NF-P12

    cheers :)

Finding good and quiet 40mm fans that can still move
some air isn't going to be an easy task but it would keep the
original look you're after . So if they aren't really necessary for
cooling I'd go for them and feed them with 5V to keep them inaudible .

I would get some better looking 40mm fans than the ones you have there.............

I think a bigger fan would destroy the overall look of the midget ...........

Yeah, John...As everyone else is saying, those 40's aren't going to do anything other than add noise to the setup. Even 60's or and 80 would be a problem, lol. I can appreciate the idea of keeping the same style as the G5, but I'd worry more about getting the thing cool and quiet. A single low-speed 92 or 120 would work great.

mini ITX is fanless but lets all think about hdd this is few degees oh heat more, work of that baby can be more stable :) pasive isn't always good choice. Few graphic cards are pasive, but ... it's like an oven inside PC.
