I sanded those plates with machine before bending to 120-150-180-240-320-400.

After bending i sanded with my hands to 400-500-600-800-1000-1200 and finally polished with autoclym metal polisher. It's not actually hard work, but it takes time.

Mainthing is to use a lot of water, if the paper is too dry it's get stucked and it makes visible cratches. If you sand 400 grit to vertically, you must sand 500 grit horizontally.. etc. You can see the colour of the plates changing when you are sanded enough. Before changing paper, every scratch has to be sanded down.

Those final, 1000 and 1200 i sanded under the shower, it makes better surface. Mainthing is that there is no shortcuts, you can't jump 400 to 1200, every scratch that 400 paper left is still visible.

With alumine needs to go to 1500 or higher, but you can make bigger "jumps" 400 to 600-800-1200-1500 grit, and finally maybe some sandingpaste, then polishing. (if you don't wanna see any scratches:)

    And, thanks for comments. :)

AC power would limit him to 3000rpm, you could go much faster with DC!

That's how I polished my steel panel, but I'm having trouble with alum angle. It's too narrow to sand across it easily and it takes a lot longer to get all the scratches out when all the sanding is in the same direction.

Damn, should i post some pictures for my gf in shower instead? :)

Here is better explanation for the fans i'm going to make:

I will power up them, using power rails. I'll make center for the fans using polycarbonate to insulate those leafs, wich i'm going to use as power rails. So i can dump that pipe, and no visible wires.

Power rail is going to be between two polycarbonate layers, wich i'm going to use as a backpanel.

I hope you understand what i'm going to tell. Sorry for my bad english, i suck in every language, so don't care about it. :D

And thanks for the nice comments!

Ps. Now i have a name for the project: Windrider

I'll hope that this is going to be better, as i have no time limits this time, and i have actually made some planning, so maybe i won't be "jumping" so much this time.
And actually, most idea's for this case i got when i made that -Cold steel- project.

    Here's a pic for that:

This one is going to be better version of that.

It's certainly full of something! But that's all I'll say since this *is* a family forum. ;P

Pretty, shiny goodness on this case, btw. Very much enjoying your work and updates so far.

Those parts are green uv-reactive plexi. Now i will make holes for the i/o-shield etc.

I also made two pieces for the backpanel, but the maskintape what i used, was really terrible. So ihave two pieces of polycarbonate full of glue. :( (i'll never buy cheap maskintape again.)

may i mention hot water and washing up liquid, and plenty of elbow grease, that soon shift the glue.

Look for tape marked painters or low tack - less glue and easier to remove In the US I use 3M Blue tape. You will have to translate labels since I have no Finnish Good luck, looks sweet
