    Are you behind a router?

Is the coloured symbol in the bottom left of uTorrent red. yellow or green?

Id say if youve got comcast they might be throttling it (correct me if thats wrong). Either that or theres a TON of people trying to download it despite the fact that many are seeding.

lol...whoopsy!!! Just noticed that youre in New Zealand :duh: hahaha. but anyway Comcast is an ISP here in the states that is being investigated by the FCC for throttling bit torrent traffic by forging TCP reset packets and sending them to the person uploading or downloading. The forged TCP reset packets essentially disconnect the seeder/leacher. Ars Technica did a really good job explaining it. But the bit torrent community has worked around it by introducing programs and encryption that doesnt allow such things to happen. utorrent is one of the programs that is capable of such.

Yes, good old utorrent. Ive been wrestling with it in wine atm, it is by far the best yet doesnt have a linux port, its a shame. Having to stick to ktorrent, as utorrent in wine is hideously slow.

ThatGingerGuy: Seeing as your bittorrent connection seems to be setup correctly, if you are getting a green symbol, I would look into your ISP, and weather they have any record of being slow with such things. Search the web for reviews, and try e-mailing them with your problem and see if they can offer any help.

Take a look at the setup guide directly on the utorrent site. It will probably be your best solution.

are you limiting you upload with utorrent, if so try to upload more than 6kb/s
if utorrent detects that your uploading at 5kb/s it automaticly limits the download to 25kb/s

Can you download at higher than 25kbs outside of the torrent, i.e. downloading via IE/Firefox?

Honestly I think that the main thing limiting your download is people like me who limit our upload speed.
You may be able to tweak out a little more but i cant see it being anything major.
As for that setting, give it a try. If it doesn't work you can always change it back.
