Okay guys, here comes a small update on the build.

Thought I might sort out the electrical stuff, as it is now, nothing in the computer has any juice.

Did the four leds for the other side of the case.

Put them in there, and on with the molex-connectors :)

Time to get the psu hooked-up. I wanted to use molex connectors here aswell, mostly because I want it to be removable, and also because I did'nt have anything else to choose from :hehe:

It's pretty obvious I don't want to connect my hdd to this one, cause that would be bad.....

    Something like that....

I don't want to use two powercords to run the system, so I took the one for the screen and cut it. Stripped off the insulation & put the wires in a molex.

Soldered a couple of cables onto the socket for the psu, och put a connector on them.

Yay! My stuff has arrived :) Not really cutting-edge, but it'll be good enough for a decent LAN-pc.

Here you can see the riser I bought for this build. Seems to work perfectly. Now I just have to fix it to the bottom panel.

My thought was to make something really-really stable. I don't want some strange short off the mobo because of crappy mounting. So I picked up my jigsaw, and a 15mm thick piece of aluminium.

    chop-chop...

Done! That was actually much easier than expected :)

    Some threads in there aswell...

Put a small piece of aluminium on there aswell, so the card is the correct height.

    Mounted:

And last, a small bracket to hold the card in place.

I'd say "tight" is the right word for it :) Looks good though.

And after a very complicated afternoon I got everything in place, and installed windows.

    It's Alive :D:D
    [IMG]

This is more of a sneak-peek due to the low lighting in the room, but you can clearly see it's working :)

That's it for now. :) Stay tuned.

    Thanks :)

No not really, you can see the DVI-VGA adapter if you look close enough, but the cable is tucked away behind the alu-panel, and then working it's way behind the screen (across the mobo on the back).

this has become more than a simple HTPC, i reckon you'll start using it as a main computer soon, well depending on spec's of your current daily drive..

Btw, is that a small piece of plastic I spot between the mesh and the right heat sink in the PSU (in the last pic of the PSU)? If so, thumbs up! =) Is there such a spacer on the left one as well?

I'm honored to hear that :)

Hmm, well it's really the size of a standard 19" Wide LCD-monitor (+ hardware on the back). I'll try to get a decent pic comparing it to something... tomorrow :)

Well maybe not as my main system, but definately as a LAN-pc as my P190 is not something I want to carry around :hehe:

Thank you :) I'm pretty satisfied with it aswell :)

Yup that's right, there's acually two of those on each heatsink. It's not really pieces of plastic though, more like a very thick double-stick tape.

It actually prefers baby Turtles over kittens, but then turtles are harder to find ;)

Thanks for all your comments! :)
