I whole-heartedly agree with everyone else's comments. Your metal work is amazing. I can't wait to see this put together!

Thanks for the nice feedpack guys!

I just have to do my best that you won't be disappointed at the end.

I'm making these parts at work, taking pictures is highly prohibited there because of "secret" product developement reasons, so i can't take better "under construction" pictures. :(

It would be uncomfortable situtation trying to explanate that i'm not spying, i'm just misusing.... :)

So here is a little 'Spikes and Blades' related update:

Lower one after smoothing with dremel and grinder, upper one after cutting with corner grinder. Finally those will be wetsanded.

I'm starting to be quite sure that at the end, this isn't that simple case what i supposed to do in first place.

More coming when something is ready/shiny or placed.

    Thanks Macros! :)

I did some changes for those blades, and now i have to start sanding again from the beginning.

But, now those look more 'rip the cuts out' kind of tools, what is good. :D

    :D I have noticed that.

I'm not sure is this update or not, but i made today, this:

"this" is going to be placed between of those fans. And it really needs more shaping, like all those metal parts for fans.

Now i'm thinking should i paint that whole fan thingy with black, or only paint fans and polish the rest?

Material is again acid proof steel, thickness 1.4mm. Again i used corner grinder and dremel and welded pieces together with Tig.
I'm not satisfied for those welding joints, but that usually happens, when you try to make something "pretty". Electrod sticks etc.. :(

Some test fitting, i already made some shapings for those parts, i taked this pic yesterday.

Also that polycarbonate piece is crapped, it got ruined cuz masking tape got sticked.

I also "made" some parts for hdd tray.

It's an old floppy tray, leftover for some lian-li case wich i had. I just cutted it for proper measure and drilled some bigger holes for those rubber pieces.

I'm going to make a somekind quick lock for it, just don't know wich kind of.

Here's better picture for painted and shaped parts. Now i just need to polish them, i decided to sand those metal parts to mirror.

I also decided to give this case to my gf as a birthday present, so i did a little "almost heart" in the middle. :)

Parts are just posing for pic. not proberly placed.

Sheesh! Talk about the phrase "dangerous beauty" here! I'd hate to accidentally get my fingers near those fans while spinning....

The polycarb part should still be OK. You just need to sand it and polish like you did with the metal.
Was I mistaken? I thought you were going to make a stainless steel fan with wild nasty blades.:naughty:

You were mistaken, but that's my fault. :nono: Those blades are coming to the front of the case, placement is going to be something like this:

I will do some other thingys too, but because my lack of english skills, i can't describe what, so i'll show them when i have done something. :wallbash:

I'm going to make some shaping for those fans too, but i think that i will stay with black colour, i actually like it. :)

Just what you need. A case ornament that doubles as a can opener!:hehe:

It goes really well with the push button cup holder that fits in the 5.25" bay. ;)

LOL. I will do another parts witch connects to those, so that can opener look won't stay. :) Actually, can opener would be usefull feature for lanparties.

And here is a pic for finished fans. Now i just need to do a backpanel and place them. I will do some other details for backpanel too, i'll show them later.

You obviously liked the integrated can opener idea. :)

I did some time ago that kind of bottle opener for a friend, i sharpened those both sides so it was quite hard to crap it, conceivably that wasn't very usefull gift. :D

    Thanks Stuey.
