Well, it's been a while coming (18 months) but the new POTM site is almost here. It's not available for use at the moment as I'm still ironing out a few issues, but for the most part it's looking good. That means that the current site will not be used for this month's competition, unless something goes catastrophically wrong.

This thread is just a placeholder for any questions people may have when the site is launched next week, and for me to say please don't send me any more account requests, since the new site uses your bit-tech login details directly. :)

    Cheers for your patience everyone.

Aha yes the POTM track record would indicate that this is an elaborate ploy, however it's in front of me and looking kickin' rad.

HE LIVES! I'll toss out a preemptive thank you for all the work you're putting into the whole PotM idea. Can't wait to see the new site; now all I have to do is find some free time to take a photo!

The old POTM site was putting me off voting as I had to navigate off site and use a different log-in. Yes, I'm lazy.

Anyway, looking forwards to the new one.

Is it me, or have the Art & Photography forum become more active in the last few months? :)

I don't believe it. Even though I've seen it. ITS AN ELABORATE RUSE.

Well unless he's been working close enough with Jamie to get this hosted on potm.bit-tech.net, it's really quite impossible to get cross-domain cookies for persistent sign-ons. But we'll see...

As far as I'm aware it won't be hosted at bit (though bindi/jamie etc. are quite welcome to!) however the new site does use the bit forums database for logins. So although you'll still have to enter a username and password to access the POTM site, it will be the same as whatever you use to login here. :thumb:
