I like the fact that it isn't polished, this way it doesn't look like some kind of render.

I found out that making something that would fit all monitors meant I had to do 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and 5:4 and Photoshop has stopped working...arrr... so Here's the size of it from the camera (2MB file).

They work pretty much like a magnifying glass :) DoF is narrowed heavily when using them (especially the macro filter) and focus distance is incredibly low with the macro filter as well. The quality of the glass is fine considering the price although they arrived in need of a cleaning smelling of machining oil :D
This is only the 2nd time I've been playing around with them and I have to admit I've grown fonder of them.
Generally I'd say their versatility is pretty low, but when applied at the right subject they work a treat.
Here are some other shots from the same session using the macro filter lens:

(yes that's a USB stick I won in POTM. It's great. Always with me. Thanks OCZ)

Woohoo! Got Photoshop working again after several hours of reinstalling... Carbon Copy Cloner didn't clone right so I had to fix my TMPDIR again as Adobe needed Everyone to have write access to it... weee...
Anyways! I celebrated by doing all the resolution ratios at max size of the pic. Click on your screen res ratio if you want it on your desk or just ignore if you don't, haha :)

This is a wonderful image! Any chance of a 1920*1200? I'd love this for my desktop :)
