Economy does suck. I get a raise and my high school son's college of choice raises their tuition TWICE my raise.
We seem to be going backwards faster than forwards.

    Not politics - ecomics.
For some of us modding must be squeezed into life. Parts cost. Thinking and planning should minimize economic impact somewhat.
John - not independently wealthy but still here

man i dont know how you did all that...i had hard enough time getting monster 9600GT (the palit 9600gt sonic 1gb is massive) in a regular rogue, forget about wiring the damn thing, i damn near took it completely apart to get the dvd drive in...so amazing job...was thinking about stealing ur ideas but i would have long way to go before i could do that

Don't hold your breath... I've had the Jeep for close to 20 years and haven't managed to work on it yet... :D

Yeah, the economy does have a few issues right now. Things here at work of slowed down considerably in the past few weeks. Luckily, I have a stable job that can't be replaced or downsized in any way. For better or worse, there's very little I need for the Rogue right now. If things were this crappy a few months ago, I'd very likely changed a few things on the rig.

Well, I've got a TJ Wrangler right now, that's packed full of high end, but stealth audio gear. Granted, it was all purchased a few years ago, but it still rocks hard!

Edit.. I found my old CarDomain page...

    http://www.cardomain.com/ride/165548

Yeah, I'm still sometimes surprised myself. It's kind of funny to look back and see how I've changed things from my original vision. Things just kept getting bigger...

I'm not sure exactly what or when the next project will be. I do have a few smaller projects I'd like to get started. Namely, an HTPC, and small mod for my daughter's old Shuttle system.

I like a clean and neat case just as much as anyone, but here it also is a functional necessity. I need the airflow. Despite all the stuff in there, I need to keep air moving around. Without it, I won't be able to keep the TEC and CPU cool enough.

This is madness. I can't believe what I see here, all that hardware stuffed into a SFF case.

Thanks guys! I'll have another update very soon!

Thanks! I don't turn it up like I used to, but people have a hard time believing that much sound comes from a Jeep. It's crystal clear at highway speeds with the top off!

I've been Jeep fan for most of my life. I truly believe I always have at least 1!

Thanks again! I'll have some more basement pics this weekend... :thumb:

    Got it!

If it doesn't have dual 360 rads on the amps it's not worth it. :p

craigbru, I've just read the whole log, and it's bloody awesome (both the case and the basement :) )

Can't wait until next update (and when it'll be finished, I'll regret the waiting of the update, but, man, that's life).

What a busy weekend! I've made a little progress on the Rogue, but even more on the basement...

Each bedroom has a recessed pocket for a desk...

    Taping and finishing started!

So, how about the Rogue? Here I've got the front of the case installed. Maybe someday I'll actually get started on that door...

The motherboard sitting in place. I've not screwed it down yet. I may need to move it a little to get the second radiator in place...

Okay, so what now? I've got a little wiring to finish. I need to make a custom cable for the LCD screen and the Via. Due to the way that the Via is situated, I need more clearance above it, than I currently have. There's no way a normal VGA connector would work... not if I wanted to clear the fans on the top of the case anyway. So, a little bit of old-fashioned hackery was in order.

Here I've got the stock VGA cable.

    A few minutes later...

That should about do it... almost... I still need a little more clearance.

About 45 seconds with a heat gun, and I was left with this... Up next, I'll clean it up a little more, and sleeve it...
