What do I think? I think you are a few beers shy of a six pack! :p

That, and I am a bit down on my stock of linear actuators at the moment, otherwise I'd do it.

Hehe, why not take mvagusta's hovering idea a step further... inside the case, mount the ends of the steel rods to a small disk a few mm from the center of the disk, then have a motor rotate the small disk (kind of like the driving mechanism on a steam engine)... this way the case will move slightly from side to side and up and down. This will enhance the hovering effect, imho. ;P Granted, it won't be easy to construct a mechanism that fist lifts the case and then does the steam engine moves.. especially if space is at a premium.. but I'm confident that you can do it. =D

This log continues to be one of my top favorite logs.. you the man Boddaker!!

Now that's what i'm talking about  You mean a crankshaft and connecting rod arrangement. Each servo or linear actuator would just need a pivot or hinged mount, and a little clearance on the four holes. Very do-able. And yes, i drank one more can tonight :D

Aaaa! The toasters are here! (20 seconds into the video)

Seriously, that's a great project you got here Boddaker. I'm also a big fan of BSG and can't wait to see the finished mod. I also saw some of your previous work on gruntville and on your site, the UAL 737 is sweet!

    p.s.
People have something for that C4 advert... The first parody:

why stop at the logo? Make the while case tilt and move, and make it fire out a viper from the landing bay (not strictly correct....but neither is a dancing logo....)

No no no - I know it!!

Bod, make the case being able to bend lightwaves a la Predator!!! It IS possible (thank you YouTube) - so can we get you to write that you're gonna do THAT!? ;) Heh!
Well - I suppose we're gonna wait until you reveal your mysterious agenda to os mortals - until then, happy modding! :)

Man, I just knew somebody was going to call me out on that lol! But when have I ever actually done what I wrote? This log is chock full of empty promises and lame-arse excuses for not getting done what I said I'd do! :p

lol I was actually referring to the case as a whole, not just the logo. :)

That would not be holding true to the show because the Galactica doesn't have a cloaking device. (gotta stay within the parameters of the theme ya know!)

Congrats on the feature Bod :thumb:

What's the latest with the mod, Bod? Have you been too busy to work on it or is there maybe another mega update around the corner? :naughty:

I don't see how anyone COULDN'T love this mod... even if you hate the show.

The design, and craftsmanship of this build is insane, and he wonders why i always pick his brain on anything and everything. :dremel:

You are, and have always been in that elite group of modders that can't help but expand minds, and provide the modding community with something else to try to emulate.

uh.. i swear I'm not comin on to you bod.. i swear!

Thanks man. Yes, I have been too busy to do much work on it lately. We bought a bigger house up the hill and are in the process of moving 11 years worth of accumulated crap. Its taking some time to sift through it all and decide what to toss and what to keep.

LOL! You did lay it on pretty thick there Tolk. keep goin'.... :naughty:

So Boddaker's gonna mod THAT house too... Probably ran out of places to mod in the old house so he persuaded his wife to buy a bigger house "dear, we simply need more space, you need a walk-in closet, don't you?"-style.

Gratz with the feature at casemods watch - knew it was coming! (tbh, I didn't know that website until now ) Well done, it just gets better and better being in this thread! :)
