Sugar could take him. I really should get fired from my job (working in a science museum/interactive discovery centre/blah) - I'm always a few minutes late, flout the uniform on a daily basis by wearing my shirt unbuttoned over a plain tee, I hide from the customers as much as possible and tend to get through a couple of New Scientists a day. Hell, I was even 1.5hrs late for work on my first day. But I'm still here. I do feel guilty until I remember the pittance we actually earn.
being heavily involved in SQL reporting services i have to take a minute or 2 between tasks (for my own sanity) to clear my head a little of numbers.I generally spend my time here [h] or at XS doing what i could call research into hardware networking and programming.
late, obnoxious, bone idle, take personal calls, cruise facebook and the front pages of bit (forums are banned). Tick that box and p45 me
I work at best buy and I send clients at futureshop and microbytes whenever I think they're getting ripped off by our prices edit : I am also a student in network management. I don't work nearly as much as I should and therefore my grades are pretty bad but ... I'm just a hopeless lazy man ...
That comes with the territory. You can only go on code marathons for so long before risking a cranial explosion.
Mostly Quad. I like the 63 better then the 988, haven't seen the newer ones yet, because I only see them when they need repairing. Mainly because they are easier to work on. Some day I will have a set of Quads at home, some day
nope i think i'm fine... i supervise in a supermarket on near minimum wage (NZ$13 or 5.10 pounds an hour :/) and work my nuts off covering everyone elses mistakes and also post 10% growth over last year in my department (i specialise in the fruit and vege department) when the national average is 5% over last year. i also have to deal with arrogant customers, do checkout work (oh how i hate that) and work 45 hours a week. the boss said that i do three times the work the person i replaced did and that person still got paid more than I do
I guess. First few months I'm dead sure I worked hard. Now that I got a raise and confirmation, no work has been given for me to do. Bit-tech, IMing friends through Gtalk, browsing Farnell for leet components to order, read emails. It's been this way for weeks now.
i'm always on bit-tech, texting and emailing, but i get my work done. i've only had this job for a month so i hope i don't get fired
If I bothered my ass to get another job, I definately wouldn't get fired. I don't think you can get the interwebs on the tills at tescos At PC World you can, the whole of the last day I just sat browsing the net. Then they put me on meet and greet, god I hated it there.
hell no. i just started working construction again, it's a little bit of a change from being a student the other 8 months of the year. i'm working like a crazy. i spend the whole day hauling rocks or shovelling concrete or something equally difficult, and was allowed to take a long lunch (45min) today to break up my 10hr shift. decent money though.
Marry me. Also, ...as opposed to being fired from someone else's job? I suppose stealing someone's wife on weekends is sort of stealing the guy's second job, and the part where he beats the hell out of you is sort of getting 'fired'. By that score, I bet a lot of people deserve to be fired.
I work my bum off. I have the smallest store in my district but I still beat the numbers posted by some of the larger places in the city. Its the classic over worked and under paid story. I don't even have proper days off. If they fired me, the store's net profit would turn into a negative number. I'm up 120% in some catagories compared to previous management.
Same here, and my boss loves me for it. Although it's not hard to be a standout employee in a business where the main requirement is being tough and/or dumb enough to lift heavy things in the blazing sun all day.
Hehe, I probably should've been fired from my last jobs. But they were boring as hell, management had no clue, pay wasn't great and all the ideas I brought to the table and were implemented improved things greatly but nary a hint of recognition (verbal or financial) was given. I saw something that made me laugh though. So much so, I printed it out and had it on my wall beside my desk. "Working here is like wetting yourself in a dark suit...You get a warm feeling but nobody else notices!"
I should be, i ride the clock ALOT, i steal alot of icecream and i really dont do much work. But the people there are total idiots, having a politician run a dairy business is a bad idea. For my last paycheck i got payed 5.12 and hour, so screw them. Here are some pictures to show how bad it really is... This box of cookie dough has been in the store for as long as i have been working there, about a year... Light fixture stored in the cooler.... toppings left open all the time... rusted cooler floor condensation on the ceiling of the freezer water from the ceiling Bananas stored on the floor
