Hi... I'm Pissed. This is not a game, Maybe some kids made it, But I'm sure not a pros. *Good Things: Cars, Graphics, Realistic, Smock, Maps and Idea it self. *****BAD THING: CONTROLLING THE CARS It's impossible. I spent 8 hours to controller any car in any race, It's IMPOSSIBLE. I'm wrong or not? I mean I'm the Rookie or what. I can play any other games and win 1st from 1 try. Why the hell this game not working with me? Note: It don't need High End Graphic card. It works on highest settings with my 1950XTX and E6600
Sounds like you're just noob... What are you using for control? If it's a game controller, does it work properly in other games?
atleast there is more good things than bad things ive only played it for 360, and i cant really see why your complaining about the control of the cars, i think its alot easier to control than other games. have you got all the assists off? traction and what not. if you have, turn them on, it might be a bit easier haha.
CK I guess you must be one of these players that use other cars as walls to get round corners and grid punishes you for trying that with the great damage engine. Its a great game and controls are fine for me on 360 and PS3 usign both controller and wheels.
cant play it on xp64 it wont play on xp64 at all, had to try on vista..... works but cant control the cars.... however on the ps3 its ok to control, just have to go very slowly then i can win (every race since i started going slow) before couldnt get round first corner as a rookie. better game than gt5: pro but still same useless slow changing and talking over the race have to turn the sound off or go mad
it's perfectly fine for me. you HAVE to use brakes and you HAVE to control the amount of gas you use around corners. you cannot drive like NFS or Juice where brakes doesn't exist. GRID actually works with using other cars to get around corners, but you have to be careful and brake, otherwise it'd end up in spectacular crash. also, my guess is that you have never tryed to play Live for Speed or any other realistic racer. i have driven race cars, and if you give too much gas, it WILL spin out, this is the case with GRID, back off on the gas to medium you should be fine. MAJOR HINT: use a controller. also, you do know there's a difference between highest settings and high settings? for me, highest setting is including c16xQ AA and all on Ultra at monitor's native resolution. i personally hate it when people go around saying they can max any game while they use an ultra low resolution without AA.
I find it easy to control. in la mans i can even come first of the class ahead of me though one thing, i wish my team mate would't take my rear out all the bloddy time.
When I first played the demo I didn't have high hopes for the game, I thought it was too easy! Here are some tips: Brake only in a straight line. Hang out wide before the corners then swing in across the apex and then back out wide the other end to make the curve as smooth as possible. Don't be afraid to stick the front wheels on the rumble strips as you go over the apex. If you do spin, don't just hammer the accelerator, you'll spin some more. If your back end starts to slide out of a corner, slacken of the accelerator just a bit until it stops and then gradually put it back on again. This will stop you spinning out or fishtailing (when the back end of the car waggles left and right) Drive in the bumper or in car views. Do not use any of the views behind the drivers head. You cannot see the front corners of your car and you'll have a lot harder time judging how close you are to spinning or hitting tyre walls and other cars.
i've only played the demo on the 360 and found it fairly easy to control as well -- i'm struggling to see what the problem with it is.
I used my Keyboard.... mmm I will test my controller maybe it will work fine. The problem on drifting. The car keep spinning in 360 and I can't stop it .... any tips? yeah NFS you just turn with the walls max the gas and fly. The Highest setting on the game I mean the res : 1280 X 768 and AA 4X and all Ultra and high, HDR one.. Every thing runs good.
Well thats your problem, trying to play it with a keyboard is not going to work very well, you need the controll of a analogue stick or you just using full lock all the time when cornering
I plugged my controller the Windows feel and in test page on controller panel it works fine. When I run the game and test it, It is not working at all, in the menus and the car. any idea ?
I dont know what the menu is like but can't you use keyboard and mouse to select what controller you would use within the game from the options menu?
thats where you need to be, just edit that profile, if the controller is in windows then it will wonr once you set it up on there. only a few controllers work as plug and play in grid.
