    I lost some weight this winter, it wasn't hard. just eat smaller portions at your meals and get about 30 minutes of dedicated exercise in every other day.

    5BX? Joe mentioned it in another thread, it's pretty good, 11 minutes of exercise a day and doesn't require any specialist equipment. Books available for free now, you can get it

    Oh yeah, eating healthy is a good idea too, no use doing exercise only to cram in a load of sweets and stuff.

    Don't starve yourself, that doesn't work at all.

    5BX won't help weight loss. It might help build some muscle and give you short term fitness (i.e. no long runs) but it won't do much to remove fat. You really need to have a high heart rate for longer than the 11 minutes of 5BX.

    Get involved in a casual sport like football, I play ultimate frisbee with some friends and i definitely notice a difference a day after that.

    But it makes you happier and releases endorphins. That definitely counts for something when you're trying to lose weight. ;)

    Unless someone gets you from behind. I would say more beatable than normal :p

    The best way to loose weight is just to eat a bit healthier, instead of a kit kat grab some fruit. As long as you are keeping your energy intake balanced with your usage (obviously you want to use a bit more than you take in while your loosing weight). I have been quite a bit bigger than I am now and just thinking about what I eat a bit more and thinking to myself "do I really need more food, or am I bored?" helps a lot. I know when I used to have a snack it is because I feel like a little nibble, which is good, keeps my metabolism going along nicely but then I start to eat too much and it turns into another meal.

    Running is brilliant, but if you want something that you can do quickly in the garden try skipping, a combination of skipping and running helped me massively. I didn't actually loose that much weight, but I lost a lot of fat and gained a ton of my muscle back.

    Limit what you eat, try to replace anything unhealthy with something such as fruit. Try to eat six small meals throughout the day, instead of three big ones. Do lots of cardiovascular (the best for this would be High Intensity Interval Training), build muscles as having more muscle means that you burn more calories. Muscles also hide fat.
