    Anybody got any suggestions on programs to "clean the clutter" off the desktop? I'm frugal so any windows or Linux pointers would be welcome. The core 2 duo with vista hasn't been out of the box yet.

    by "the clutter" you mean excess icons? how about a liberal application of the delete key?
