I was thinking about poutine today and thought i woul start this pointless thread.

I personally like it topped with shaved steak, and carmalized onions.

*note: For those who don't know what poutine is. It's Fries (chips) smothered in melted cheese (usually mozarella) and gravy.*

I can take pretty much anything with cheese.

    For me only 3C's matter.

You can thank your fellow canuck for this one. While i live in ontario i live in ottawa so it's basically quebec :).

As for the quantities. It's not so specific. Take what ever your normal servering of fries (chips) cover the top in ceese curds so you can't see any fries and then fillin the cracks with gravy. Then let it sit for a bit to let the cheese melt. And say good by to what ever diet you were on. Average poutine has anywhere from 8-12+ K of calories :)

I'd rather chips and dill mustard over chips and gravy or/and cheese.

you're right, but decent chips are hard to do. and don't try to fob me off with oven chips, they're useless
