    Thanks skullen!

Thanks man! The other day I thought I'd try to add up my estimated time put into both projects... Wow, the basement wasn't so bad, but I've got about 700 hours in the Rogue... :jawdrop:

It's all about the cheescake! Speaking of cheesecake, and what I've been up too... I didn't get any work done over the weekend. I was at the local county fair with the kids. While I was there, I had some deep fried cheesecake smothered in fresh blueberries and whipped cream... Wow, it was fantastic! :thumb: I'm not a calorie counter, but it had to be worth about 2000 of them. :D

Thanks Elio! We're not having church wedding though. We're heading to Riviera Maya in Mexico. It's actually going to be in a little gazebo by the ocean...
I'll admit, I've taken the case apart way more than I had ever hoped too. I've got it down to a science though, and can do it pretty quickly now. I'm done with the rewiring, and should hopefully have the rig running tonight or tomorrow. I'll also admit to (unintentionally) toying with you a bit. Since I've been rewiring, there's really been no 'new' progress to be seen. The pics would all look about the same. Things are much cleaner now, although it wasn't that bad before. I'll try and get some 'before' and 'after' pics up. This week is going to see some big changes!

Thanks man! There's still some great stuff to come!

Sure, it's a lot of calories, but you have to figure, it's cheesecake, wrapped in a pastry shell (looks like a burrito), then deep fried in hot oil. The fruit on top seemed so out of place...

Thanks for the Nvision well wishes! I'll make sure I get noticed somehow! I'd love to come home with some new hardware. I wanted to go to Quakecon or ROG, but neither of those fit my schedule. I'll try again next year.

When Angel and I first started talking about getting married, we kind of joked about getting married on a beach somewhere. Then the more we thought about it, the more it made sense. We didn't want to do the stuffy traditional church wedding. Tuxedos, flowers, and bad solos are not our thing... :D

Okay, who wants an update! Yeah, I know it's a small one, but at least I'm making progress! I've only got two weeks to get this think completely finished for Nvision, and there's no way I can miss this deadline! The rig will be running again tonight, and then I'm going to allow myself about a week to get the front door done. That will leave me a week to figure out how to pack this thing up for shipping...

    So, I mentioned some rewiring...

It may not be a close up shot, but here you can see the previous switch/etc. wiring in the upper right hand corner.

    Here is the revised wiring.

Much cleaner, isn't it? Well, it's all due to the switch to these little flag style spade connectors.

Now, I'll let you in on a dirty little secret... this has to be my least favorite picture of the whole build. This is the revised wiring under the motherboard tray. It's still not as clean as I'd like, but I had to draw the line somewhere. Especially since this will never be seen, even during a hardware change.

Finally, the last little update involves extra chipset cooling. The Circu-pipe does a decent job of cooling at stock speeds, but active cooling is always better for overclocking. So, where to put a fan? Other owners have added fans, but I've not seen this kind of placement on any of the MSI boards yet. A 40mm fan fits perfectly as shown in the pics below.

    More coming soon!

Wiring looks much better mate. Nice idea with the fan on the circu-pipe. I wish you the best of luck with reaching your dead line.

Craig, even if you think your under-mobo wiring isn't your best, it's light years ahead many of us would do. Keep up the awesome job!

Can't wait to see final pics! :D

Thank you. I should make the deadline. I'm thinking that I'll start with the late night modding right now, so I don't stress myself out later...

Thanks! Yeah, all that is under the motherboard... Well, technically it's under the tray, under the motherboard. Here's a pic of the tray (before the rewire)

Wow, now that's a lotta wire! I'm glad I made the changes, but I lost a week doing it. Oh well... I think in my next mod I'll have dedicated channels for individual wires... :thumb:
Believe me, there won't be any building while I'm gone. In fact, I may even be banned from bring the laptop... I can't say I blame her though. (Good thing she doesn't realize a PSP can surf the web... :naughty:)

Thanks man! Only two weeks!

LOL hey thats why its a dirty secret right? its hidden and its really messy. however its considered clever genius-ness to me. something commonly hardly ever though of and looks pretty awesome.

Glad the beach wedding scene was how you both perfectly imagined =]. many wishes to you both.

    rock Nvision!

Progress every day, that's my goal! I managed to get some more work done last night, and I'm committed to having the rig running tonight! I probably could have made it last night, but I needed my sleep...

So, in addition to dropping more components in the case, (you'll see that progress in a slideshow), I put a new top on my DDC pump. I did this for several reasons. The first, was to save a little room around the pump itself. The new Koolance top has a much smaller footprint. The second reason, was due to the much better barb placement. The Alphacool top I was using, didn't accommodate 3/4" tubing all that well. Basically, there was no room for a proper clamp, so a zip tie was needed. I wasn't happy with this solution, so the change was made.

Here is the original Alphacool top.

Here you can see the difference in size between the new and old tops.

This last item, will give you a peek at what I'm going to do tonight... It's a 12" ATX power cable extension. Now, what would I need that for? :D

OOOOOOO Shiny new pump top, looks nice. Better cable routing with that 24pin extension cable.

Thanks guys! It's almost a shame to cover up the shininess with the top of the case...

As far as the cable goes, yes, it's all about better routing. Considering that I've shortened every cable already, you know something is up when I buy an extention... :eyebrow:

The fan should help drop temps a few degrees. The last thing I need to have is an overheating chipset, on a subzero CPU... :D

I'll be gaming at Nvision, although my skills will be a little off... I've been modding more than gaming lately.
