    What, even with its fan running max RPM? I doubt that. Does seem odd that a product named "Be Quiet!" doesn't get a noise test.

    how would i get it to run at max speed?

    The fan never hits that full RPM. You can't do noise tests without professional equipment and a sound room with egg cupped walls. Other than telling you a subjective level from a consistent source (my ears) having reviewed a lot of PSUs now, I have to say it's one of, if not the quietest PSU I've ever had.

    I have a Straight power 550 for the past 2 years and have not had a problem with it. My only gripe is that it is not modular :)
    This one could be a replacement if I ever build a new system as I have too many extra cables.

    This unit looks very nice, I really like how the P4 and EPS connectors are modular as well. With some other modular units you are stuck with both types wired in with the 24 pin motherboard connector.
