Thats a EZ mod bristol.. I used AC Ryan mesh which is aluminum (aka very soft).. Just cut it, bent it and popped it in place..
No work to report.. Just drinking a beer and doing some H20-cooling research.. I think I am going to use 3/8ID- 1/2OD for this project (with those bitspower compression fittings).. I would also LOVE to get my hands on some of the watercool heatkiller blocks:



just a nice simple design


BUT, no luck finding any United States retailers..
It seems I always want what I can have...

These people ship to the states - CPU and NB blocks stocked but can't see the SB or Mosfet blocks.

Give them a shout they might be able to source the other blocks aswell.

Great to see you back modsquad, too bad about black rain. I have to agree, it was getting a bit OTT with the biker parts, but the ideas you had for it were good.

Your progress already looks great, but why did you mount the reservoir like that? wouldn't it have been easier if you did it like on black narcissus?

keep it up MS, i hope you add in the motherboard cover and pump setup from BR. Maybe make a custom copper motherboard cover?

Those fittings and rad look top notch. I have those Alphacool fittings that is in one of your pics for my current build, damn, wish I would have seen those first.

I did the reservoir that way for a new-twist on an old product.. You see lots of AC aquatubes, but I have not seen anyone mount one like this. My plan (hope) is to use a good-deal of the gear from the defunct project in this one. Top on that list is (one) of the pumps..

it seems AC has stopped selling these FMJ's -- a shame..

well, on the other hand better for copperhead. it's always nice to include some hard to get parts



Eheim 1046 (modified) in an Aqua-Computer Full Metal Jacket which I had chrome plated. These pictures are from the BR-project, but as that project is RIP and the pump will be used in this machine.. Here's the "run-down"..
The "mod' is an EZ one, an over sized impeller from Aqua-computer's Aquastream pump:

The larger (green) impeller replaces the stock one (left).. That impeller is AC's "secret weapon" and the main reason the unit out performs a stock Eheim 1046..

Why not just use a aquastream pump? The answer is I don't like 12v pumps.. I have seen the aquastream's lose-prime at power up.. The Eheim 1046 design is that of an "always on" pump and works best (IMHO) when doing so.. As a side-benefit, after shut down the h20 in the loop continues to pump and continues to cool your gear down..

more AC gear,adapters and compression fittings with 11mm alphacool nuts.. Decided to go with 7/16OD tubing for the project..

but, it has to go... very little copper will be seen on the "outside" of this mod..

Damn that copper drive bay looked so cool. Oh well, it was a bit "in your face" on the copper side of things though.
