Here is my contribution for this months POTM:

It's 3 Exposures blended together in PS (Sort of manual HDR). A bit unsure of that's accepted. If the majority is under the opinion that it's outside the rules, I'll remove it. :)

Other than that it have had some touch-ups (removed a few lamp-posts) and added some noise reduction to give it a softer look.

    C&C welcome :)

Nothing wrong with blending exposures in my view, and lovely shot.

I have no problem if people want to blend multiple exposures. It's just the digital equivalent of using graduated filters on the lens.

This is a lovely landscape shot, with all kinds of warm colors and a pretty decent composition. I'm sure it could be debated enough to fit the theme, but I'm just not getting a sense of "culture" nor "points of view." Maybe "culture," but I have to justify it to make it work.

The idea was to show farming in Norway as a culture or way of life. I guess there is some slight differences in language that may make it a bit unclear.

It's also a play on words in "Agriculture".

But you may be right in that it's a but vague. :worried:

We can not agree on culture, but we can agree on agriculture?

Culture and agriculture is in essence the same if you go back. As man started cultivating the lands for food instead of being hunter-gatherer culture was born. I guess we could have a lengthy semantic debate over that one :)

@Smilodon: I think your play on words works fine. My only gripe with the picture is that I first thought it was water when in reality it was a field :) I think it's a fine shot and applaud that cliches are evaded! And definitely don't mind the blending. I'm not sure whether I think using the clone tool to manipulate stuff away is okay but I believe that's up to yourself to decide upon as I don't remember the rules being that specific :)

I like it, but i think i'd like it better if it had a little more contrast, and a bit more color/saturation.

It's a tad to much IMO. It looks OK in a browser, though

Oh, ad I just found a new favorite tool in PS: The quick selection tool

At first glance i actually thought that was a lake.

Beautiful picture, but I'm not sure what this has to do with culture? Culture is the result of living things (yes other animals have cultures too).

Needs like a man riding his ox with a rice hat or some hillbilly in a giant tractor.
