    Thanks Skidd.
Yeah the feet took a while to finish but they were well worth the effort.

Good work. Qestion; were you planning on raising this up higher? That rad needs airflow and it looks like it wouldn't get enough the way it is now. At the least you'll have turbulence noise; at worst bad temps.

There is actually quite a bit of room under the radiator. That is a bad pic. There is about 5-6cm worth of clearance. I have turned the fans on to see how noisy they are and they are actually fairly quiet. There is a heap of air being sucked through the radiator so I'm not really concerned about temps.

I have been doing a bit of thinking and was contemplating reversing the fans so they blow the air from the case through the radiator to the outside rather than sucking the air in. What do you think?

    Thanks for your concern E.E.L.

Hey, that's what we're all here for! :)

I think you'll get slightly better temps if you're sucking air into the case from the outside (i.e. cooler air from the room), but either way would work fine. Whichever works for you!

Well from what I have read sucking air through a radiator is better than pushing it through. The only problem with dumping the hot air back into the case is that it will raise the ambient temp and then temp of all the components, even the water cooled ones. Hmm, I guess I will wait and see how it goes, I can always reverse them.

One of my friends has done it this way and has had good results on an almost identical rig to mine (Q6600 and 8800GTX).

The push vs. pull debate returns! lol. Actually, from a noise standpoint, sucking through is better, and in my experience tends to be a bit more efficient. But again, whatever works. The only 'hot' air you'd get is whatever is going out your exhaust fans; it won't be in the case long enough to cause any problems. If you set the case up to have positive pressure, i.e. more fans going in the case than going out, you'll be fine dust & temp-wise, I'd think. Good luck either way!

Well in total I would be having 4 120mm intake fans and 1 120mm and an 80mm exhaust plus the PSU so I will leave it as is then.

    Thanks for your help mate.

Well it was supposed to be done within a month initially so that's about 12 months ago lol. Once I get the RAM cooler completed I need to fabricate a pump mount and then stuff everything in the case. Not long now. I am hoping 2 months max.

I went to see my cousin today who recently got a new laptop to replace his old socket 4** Pentium 4 desktop. So lucky me, I got a free PC, screen and all, even though it was only a 15" LCD lol.

I will post some pics up tomorrow after school. You'll never guess which GPU is inside it lol.

True to an extent. Australia does ban games but that is only because we don't have a R18+ rating for games, MA15+ is our highest rating. There have been very few games which are released over the rating of R18+. Bioshock could easily have been R18+ but sadly it was only MA15+, that's why they are turning it into a movie with full R18+ goodness lol.

If you want the game that is banned you can always download it lol.

Good news guys. My order arrived today, I just have to go get it from my aunties during the week sometime.

Well I thought I should post some pics up of the PC my cousin gave me.
    Here is the PC:

And the monitor (15" BenQ LCD):

Cable management much lol. I love how they bundled all of the cables in the max airflow zone lol.

Down bottom we have the graphics card and a wireless card:
Behind the mass of cables we have our socket 478 Pentium 4 and 2 512mb stick of RAM:
And up front we have a CD burner and a DVD burner:
Looks like I am going to replace my CD drive with this DVD drive. YAY double DVD drive goodness for LEXA lol.

Now here is a little quiz for you all. Who can guess what this graphics card is:

Well that's in until I pick up my package. Until then...

    Happy Modding.
