That's the most recent picture of me, with my baby, a custom built and painted (By me, of course) airsoft M4.

Replace black hat with Red Wings cap and lose the assault vest, and those are about the only differences between that and day to day clothing >.>

Aww CK, why oh why did you have to post pictures of yourself, shattering my image of what you might have looked like :p

I always sort of imagined you were a sort of cross between Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle, and some sort of comical Japanese anime series character... except in Arabic form... and wearing a crown like the dude in your avatar...

I wonder what everyone else thought you looked like...

Is that a M4A3 w/ a talon silencer upper, galil folding stock, PSG grip, foward grip and a leupold tactical scope?

Either you're good, or I have some very obvious kit :D

Well, except the scope. It's a Star tri-rail scope. I'm planning to stick a realsteel ACOG on there, when I can get hold of one :D

Yo Liratheal, I've been meaning to build on my airsoft gun collection for a while now (I have a wee Colt 25 :p). Could you point me to a good place on the net to buy some?

    Hehehe
As a civilian now, I have a Stag Arms M4A3 with full rail system, flip up iron sights and a 6pt stock. In the service I carried a M16A3 with full rail system and ACOG TA31F. I would love to get my own ACOG but they cost $1000-$1500 for the real deal. Airsoft clones run about $200 but are ment for airsoft guns not the real deal.

Playing Airsoft is a blast man. I used to have a CA MP5A2 and a TM GBB M92. Those 3mm rounds ****in sting when shot by a high fps AEG.

On a trip to the alps, I occasionally take small groups there for a bit of money. Sadly finding I don't have the time anymore :(

Yeah, I found a place in Florida that sells some of the old ones for about $800 and a $100 conversion kit for supporting LED illumination. Not cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. The clones I've seen are so terrible I couldn't even bring myself to use a free one.

I did try out a 3pt stock, but it just didn't work with a single point sling, the folder isn't a fat lot better, but it's better.

These days I carry a pair of KSC USP's (using green gas, about 400 fps. They take skin off at point blank on bare skin, tested on myself), an AW338 (AI .308 replica), shoots about 700fps on green, 500 on abbey. Very nice gun, I'm working on getting a real one at the moment. And, of course, that M4, which shoots about 340fps. I'm working on getting an M82 kit from HurricanE, hoping to have that shoot about 500fps, which should be fun. Costly, though, ~£1500 :D

Unfortunately, now, you'll need a UKARA registration to buy a full gun in normal colours. Basically that means playing at your local site for however many games they want you to in a certain time period so they'll say you're a certified skirmisher. Annoying, but worth it.

You can buy all the parts to build the guns yourself, but the manufacture of them is just as illegal as buying them without a UKARA membership. Typically, though, I buy from Fire-support.co.uk, they're top chaps, very helpful, and very good stock. They also order from most of the major manufacturers, so if you want something they don't sell, call 'em up and they'll get it on their next order from that company (IIRC, they do orders on a staggered 3-week basis). Other places I use are Zerooneairsoft and 6mil. 6mil are VERY over priced, but in an emergency, they usually have stuff in stock (Because they're over priced). Zerooneairsoft are slightly more expensive than Fire-support, but hey. They carry slightly different stock to Fire-support, so it those two places are pretty good for coverage. Zeroone also sell two-tone guns, you can buy those without having a UKARA registration, but they're neon colours. It's illegal to remove the neon paint or paint over it :B

there are loads of ways to get into american summer camps. Companies like Camp America, CCUSA will pretty much sort everything out for you, or you can contact camps directly and try and do it that way. However you do it, it's great fun. The trips to the alps started as a bunch of friends thing, now friends of friend of friends etc come along. Depending on how much time I have to organise stuff we do different things, usually climbing, kayaking/rafting, plenty of walking, visiting a few places to try local speciallities etc, if the weathers good then heading up to the top of the mt blanc is always fun. Unfortunatly this year I've only been able to go once, due uni and work.
