if it's more like Most Wanted then it could be good, I enjoyed that game but I'm sure we will have to see about these "Hollywood-style stunts".

Got my interest. Most wanted was a pretty good game. If this is anything like it, I might have to buy it.

Please EA. Please don't muck it up!

Carbon and Pro Street were shockingly awful games to play - at least after the fun I had in Most Wanted...

Most Wanted was awesome - the gameplay, the feel of the cars, the graphics (on the PC) and the online play - 'twas all pretty amazing. I still have it installed...

Maggie is fit. She eats phở. Cool and hungry Maggie Q is cool and hungry.

In honesty, if they pay homage to their old school game engines, an era before Most Wanted that was devoid of driving aids and fabricated car dynamics, then I will buy it.

Couldn't care less about the plot right now; it's something Electronic Arts hasn't implemented to this depth before.

Depth? They will set the game up with fmv, you run 100 races, then another fmv with the bad guys being arrested (losing his car etc) and you drive off with the girl (or she tells you to get out of here before the cops show, or as your undercover the cop women pats you on your......back for doing a good job), just like the last few games :p

if it's a mix of NFS2 and NFSU2 then we might have a winner

Spot on, mates. Spot. On. Add to the mix some of the mechanical precision in NFS5 Porsche Unleashed and we've got the return to the franchise grassroots in grand slam style.:cooldude:

Except you're probably all getting your hopes up for nothing, as none of this will happen. (I feel like Debbie Downer on SNL).

Bah it comes out at the same time as GTAIV on the PC. I know which game I'll be playing. :)

I loved most wanted, i wasted alot of time on that! I clocked it many times with & without cheats, did heaps of mods & cheats, the coolest of which is having all the cop vehicles, m3's & even a ferrari in the garage

I would have liked some tuning options, not just being able to get the parts fitted, and it would also be nice to have a bit of cutomization of body kits available like there was in carbon i think? And some customization available in the paints available, and more cars & more garage space available, without having to mod the game!

Another let down was that the big cop 4x4 rhino was only rwd when you drive it :wallbash: It would have been sooo good for doing some extreme pursuits, but even with the game's faults, it was probably my all time fav, well maybe 2nd fav after san andreas, not that i've played that many games though :D

San andreas had some basic car & bike races available, and some basic car modding... It would be sooo cool to have a game which is basically a complete mix of nfsmw & san andreas :jawdrop: It'll just be a matter of time until it happens, 4 sure

hum... for me, it depends on how much improved is the controls and graphics of GTA4.

hopefully this can be considered as Most Wanted 2. seems like EA NFS people likes any word begins with
    Under

i wonder what would be like if GRID had open world and police. my beloved Austin Martin DB9 GT1 running through police barriers. (what car would you choose from GRID to out run police cars? )

I'm quite interested in this idea, I think developers are all realising that there's not much left to do with racing in itself, not with Forza, GT and race driver GRID out. We've made it as good as it's gonna get, so this move towards film-style story-driven blending sounds smart.

is that not actually nfsu3 + better grapics....
    lol

the new nfs is advertised as need for speed 2009 in the argos catalogue. thought that was pretty acurate.
prostreet is definately not "okay" its complete rubbish. as was carbon
