Can't see the point myself.

What would be interesting is to use the console a couple of hours a night, every night, in a typical bedroom/lounge setting. And then after a couple of weeks, see how much dust has been sucked into it and destroyed the potential cooling benefits.

 

He is doing them! Harry is bringing in another 360 to test against and I've got a nice green cathode we can spice it up with (I know, a bit too simple but I've not got anything else).

 

Somebody should make a hardware emulator that lets you change out the dvd drive while still letting the bios think its the old drive. While thier at it make one for the hdd too. Or am i just in fantasy land again?

Probably would ban you from xbox live if such a thing existed. jerks

Looking at the bottom of the case, it seems they maybe another optical flap? or is that sealed?

 

that flap's for the dual usb ports at the bottom of the console - and is a little too large to be honest!

 

Wait, people actually think that the PS3 is better looking than the 360? The PS3 is a large shapeless block of black, shiny plastic, while the Xbox is a bit curvy, and quite a lot smaller. And it's not black, aside from the Elite..

My thoughts exactly. (well, apart from the black 360 looks better than the white one IMHO)

The Wii looks great, the 360 is quite nice.
The PS3 is many things, but pretty is not one of them. It may be shiny, but a shiny ugly thing is still ugly. A few of my friends think the same as well. I don't want a George Foreman grill under my TV

That said, i'd be a bit tempted by this case if i didn't have one of the newer HDMI 360's which seemed to have fixed the reliability thing.
Just roll on the 'play-from-hdd' update, i'm really looking forward to playing games without being deafed by the DVD drive

Looks interesting. No doubt we'll soon see lots of them stuffed with LED fans and CC tubes.

Can't wait until somebody mods a SFF PC into it though as it looks better than the other Lian Li Micro ATX cases IMO.

 

Koolance also make a W/C kit for the 360.

 

I prefer the look of the Elite. I'm looking forward to the results of the review though.

 

It looks massive compared to the proper Xbox case. And unless it's a standard 43cm wide, it's not going to match any of my home theatre kit.

 

My xbox360 is actually not louder when playing games of the disc. The reason being, that it is extremely loud- ALL the time.
Called Xbox support, answer: Meh....
This case however is too big for the WAF and would not like to void the RROD warranty.

 

i think all modern consoles are pretty ugly tbh
