So, I've been in Egypt for a few weeks now, we have a place out here, and it's great, has everything you need, and more. Currently I don't have a job, but I do have hobbies, mainly keeping fit and photography, and it's just that that is keeping me occupied for most of the day. If I could stay here, I would, and if I had £10k a year for food etc, then again, I would. So my question to you all, if you could quit your job right now, and relax and for the rest of your life, would you?
simple answer yes, but only till i got bored... so if by relaxing you mean being able to take part in extreme sports, nights out, general shenanigans etc then count me in!
Hell no. To value anything in life you have to learn the value of it. Without earning your way in life, your life is worthless.
Not at all. I like being busy, and I love having to jump on a plane for Oslo for a meeting one day, just to get on another plane for London in order to get to a conference the next. I think that if I ever were to sit down and do nothing for any long amount of time my brain and my motivation will begin atrophying - not something I will strive for. On the other hand, let's say I won the lottery - a cool 20 mill or so (enough to live comfortably the rest of my life) I think I would take out more free time; maybe just work 50% or something like that. Free time is valuable, obviously, but having something to keep my hands and my mind busy is equally, if not more, valuable.
No. I rely on work to make my free time feel better. I enjoy myself more if I have to look forward to time off. Admittedly, I don't get as much time as I'd like to do what I want, but hey. Oh, and work gives me money. I like money.
Well I haven't started working yet, and when I do I hope to make enough money to live comfortably (more so than now), so no. But I would recommend it for my dad...
I'm still looking for a job after graduation and there's no way I'd want to do this indefinitely. Time just vanishes and somehow I've got nothing done, mostly because I can always put it off a little bit more. Ideally I'd like to work 4 days a week. That would get me a decent wage, and I'd have time to relax and work on the 1001 projects I have in my head.
No, my ideal solution would be having a 3 day working week, monday to Tuesday to Thursday, and have the rest of it off to relax, living somewhere that's got a good climate, and english is the native language, otherwise known as Colorado.
A 3-day working week sounds good to me, I do enjoy working as it keeps me busy, I often find I run out of stuff to do if I have absolutely no commitments all week, but a 3 day week in an enjoyable job would keep me busy while still giving me lots of free time. However, if I had all the money I'd ever need, then I suppose I wouldn't get bored without a job, since I'd have enough money to go and do anything I please, currently I have no car, public transport sucks, and I despise walking as a mode of transport, so it's a little difficult for me to get anywhere.
That is kinda the same Question I asked money make you relax Major You must try Egypt with money it taste some thing different.
Yes and I'd travel in Europe and South America for a few years. I've already been to the Middle East.
No, because after a while, relax turns into boredom (for me at least) i have to be working on something or working for something.
