#39 - who want's that.. box? imo that's a very unpractical solution for a PSU, even though it produces 2kW..
Antec NeoHE 500W currently powering an E4400 at stock, an EVGA 8800GT at stock, 4GB of OCZ SLI XTC at stock, 2 SATA hard-drives, one PATA DVD-drive, and 4 case fans.
330-watt Seasonic. And that's in my main computer, not some server buried in the basement. Core 2 E6550 GeForce 9600gt 2gb DDR2-800 WD Velociraptor Samsung 500GB Most people on here have double or triple the power they need, whether they realize it or not. Even my lowly 330 is roughly double what my computer actually uses.
PC Power & Cooling silencer 610 watt Powering- - Q9450 - 4 gigs of Corsair Dominator ddr2 800 - 8800gts 512mb - 750 & 500 gig hdd - 780I Sli Mobo - Xfi soundcard - 4 fans I'm pretty sure I'm only using a little over half of it's power capacity. But I was really impressed with how quiet the psu was.
I'm guessing the current one is Silverstone Decathlon DA700 (700W surprise surprise). I have no idea what's the fan in it and how expensive of an unit it is, but it seems to do its job. The current draw AFAIK is somewhere around 200 Watts.
Totally true, but unfortunately manufacturers are keen to play the "size matters" game. With smaller PSUs you often don't get as many connectors (eg, SATA) as on the bigger models. The graphics card people overspecify wattage required based on the customer possibly having a POS PSU - really playing it safe to reduce claims. A good little 'un has always beaten a big POS.
Seasonic 500watt non modular. Powers; amd-a8n sli premium mobo/amd x2 4600/2 x 1gb ram/ 8800gtx/ 1 wd raptor 75gb/1 320gb seagate/2 dvd writers/wireless card/.
Corsair HX520W. Would have bought the HX620W if it hadn't been so damned more expensive when I bought my PSU about 2 years ago. Still, one of the best investments I've ever made...
Corsair HX520 as well. Awsome powersupply powering q6600 @ 3GHz, 4gigs 800MHz, 8800GTX, dfi p35 mobo, 2*250Gb WD
Corsair HX620 powering my rig without a sweat. Can't really see needing anything bigger that 600-700 w for any system.
Antec Quatro Truepower Space cow mad flu disease (Seriously what the hell is with the Antec naming schemes?) 850 watt. Probably going to change that out at some point, so I can get some quad Xfire on the roll
I've had my antec 480 blue for about 5 years now. AMD64 3200 8800GT 3 seagate 7200 hdd 2 GB ram Water pump 2 DVD drives 5 fans 2 leds and 2 coldcathodes Holds up just fine
Well, it's quite a feat when you get the (arguably) best PSU manufacturer in the world (Seasonic) to build you a unit even surpassing their own offer (M12)...
