I was going to, but I've had some (undeserved) points on my license recently that have s**t all over that plan insurance-wise :( I'm lucky to still be in the MR2!

They're always deserved, you just realize in a few years. ;)
I know the feeling though, I had points, crashes and all sorts when I was a teen. They haunted me until this year when they all fell off my license.

They're really not, 6 points for having an uninsured car parked on the road. It's the law, that's the punishment, I've accepted it, but I still don't think it's justified to receive points on your license for a non-driving offence. I grew up 3 1/2 years ago when I had a crash, which has just disappeared off my record with some insurers.

    I've got a mk3 (Roadster).

Very similar mate.. but that's probably just because they use the same spline size.
Lotus made the Elise as a parts-bin special though - Vaux, MG, Rover, etc.

    yes I do

    right on the money

I do like the steering on the truck :thumb: but I don't think I'll be doing the swap 6.7 cummins anytime soon

Yea the ride isn't too great, when going over speed bumps over 15mph I'd bet the rear wheels catch a little air

now if only the steering wheel and pedals were on the proper side of the car, id love to import one to the US. Although the new elise can be had for about 45grand us, witch is not what most people want to spend. Been watching em on e-bay, some can go into the 30k range. Wish I could pick up one for about 10-15k us.

I wish we got such good prices on cars from the US! You're barely paying any more than we would over here, whereas things like Mustangs sell for about double what you pay over here.

Thats true I guess, My mustang fully loaded after taxes and interest after the 3 year loan will be less than 30k usd. I still want a lotus though, where does lotus get off selling a basicaly celica gt for the same price as a corvette? I never understood that.
