Lots of MTBers here (pfft). Surely myself and gar cannot be the only roadies on this forum?

i agree with malfoleo, it's the rear brake. check the alignment of the brake body against the rotor, check the tightness of all the rotor bolts, and check the pad wear. if the pads are unevenly worn, replace them and realign the brake body.

i had a similar sound coming from my back brake, it ended up being that the rotor bolts had worked themselves loose and the rotor was rattling against the pads. i didn't realize this until i was out riding and my rotor sheared off the hub.

Don't you ride a MTB on the road? :p

Anyway... you lycra-clad roadies are queers ;)

See, I'm not that confident on the road, so I prefer the nice cycle paths down here, trying to a find a pic of them is impossible, but the majority of the cycle paths down here that go through forests/next to river/along paths are pretty good and never over grown, like I said, the only downside to them are people who just walk on them, it seriously does my head in. I don't mind runners of them purely because I'm a runner and I know that the cycle paths down here are nice and flat.

We met a lycra-clad roadie with a mountain bike on holiday in the alps... We gave him so much banter one evening he went into town and came back in proper MTB gear :p

Am also a roadie, riding a 2009 Specialized Allez.

Also, lycra + being 17 + riding past an all girls school at 3.30 = win

    Snap.
I also ride past a girls school, and girls that attend girls schools are disgusting wastes of human souls.

My sister works at the one in Didcot... I've heard stories.

My road bike isn't worth posting, it is 10+ years old and based on the weight it must be made from lead.

Lucky you, I'm already dreading the thought of riding my one and only bike up an icy devon hill, and then spending two hours cleaning it because it's all gunky.

Signed, ought to be one for bikes on busses aswell, especially rail replacement busses, as I have been left stranded quite a few times.

^ Yeh, but infortunately the green frame has campy veloce/record bits, and the red frame had shimano ultegra/105, and I'm not composed entirely of money :p
