That's a real shame... It's always such a wound when stuff gets stolen tbh.

Totally. Good excuse to get a PS3 and get a Blu-Ray collection started though I suppose. I've put off getting loads of new films on DVD knowing I'd prefer em in hi-def so I've loads to catch up on.

Meh, maybe it'll work out for the best. I'm assuming your stuff was insured though?

PS3 is definately the most tempting atm, although once the new update for the 360's comes out, it'll be possible to have quiet gaming on the cheap.

Hah, let's not talk about insurance.

But yeah, the new update looks great. Only thing is my HD-DVD player was an upscaler too. The regular Xbox drive is too loud and doesn't upscale anywhere near as good so I'm leaning towards a PS3 for now.

The 360 Upscaler was the best tbh, but the PS3 with blu-ray looks far better then HD ever did on my 360. One thing is that I'm getting a new TV ordered tomorrow (yes I'll post) but I know that the BR content will look even better, I had Nightmare Before Xmas arrive yesterday, and on my 24" from my bed (12ft) it didn't look better then DVD upscaled, but up close it looked amazing!

Went to Cardiff - housemates wanted to go to a bead fair (they're both into jewelry making - so I just sat at the bar nursing several j2o's while they wandered around. We then moved on to Cardiff - generally spent monies. So my purchases were:

New puppy (from Build A Bear Workshop)
    Pair of New Rocks
    Corpse Bride DVD
    Nightmare Before Christmas DVD
Bottle of Jagermeister - Jager and coke, yum!

Got rid of the Virgin contract/c902, signal is just terrible. So that's getting sent back when I receive the prepaid thing from them.

A Tocco is coming on orange 200mins, unlimited texts on tuesday. That'll teach me for not going with orange in the first place, I have never had a problem with signal on orange.

A friend of mine came back from uni the other day with that too, along with the plastic drop pod and a box of devastators. The models/boxed sets they've been coming out with the last few years have been fantastic. I wish they'd update some of the older armies and do some more forge world models in plastic. I wouldn't mind collecting a sisters of battle army but I'm not too keen on metal models or the dated looks.

Oh BTW, to you and any other BTers that enjoy this kind of thing, the role playing and wargaming society I'm part of does an all day gaming event on a Saturday every now and again at the union. We do roleplaying games like D&D (although rarely D&D), boardgaming/cardgames (stuff like Fluxx and Last Night on Earth (the best zombie board game evar!) and wargaming (40k since that's what most people play, although that will hopefully expand). Quite a casual event (well most of us). If any BTers fancy popping down one day, drop me a PM and I'll try to remember to send you a message when the details of the next one arise.

The new marines are great (I just seen some example shots of some planned Legion of the Damned marines and they look fantastic (I've still got the limited edition sergeant Centurion from the opening of the 100th shop sitting on my desk)).

I bought the codex to read up on any new background (and for the 'Heavy Metal' examples in the book).
I want to get a drop pod or 2 and another Dreadnought or whirlwind and some scouts for my DA marines.

I hadn't painted anything since my nephew was born (little over 4 years back) and all my old paints with the flip top caps are fine (which as they're around 10/15 years old was quite suprising) but the 9 or so newer paints (screw cap type) I bought 4/5 years ago had dried up so I'm glad to see they've gone back to the flip top paints in store.

I've started painting the minitures that came in the new box set, I'd forgotten how relaxing painting was.

Yeah I started again recently and what's left of my old flip tops are perfectly fine, couldn't even get the lids off some of my screw top pots.

I had that trouble within a week of opening my old screw's. I ended up buying the custom colour Humbrol tins and just dumping the contents in there - They kept just aswell as the flip tops and were a damnsight easier to open.
