    WOW.

The quality of your work is outstanding. You sure have the technique and the eye for detail needed to take 1st place, I will be keeping an eye on this one.

    Good luck with the details.
How much time to the end of the competition?

I have until Dec 12, so that's more then enough time for me to end this project.
Just finished the crane-vehicle with the grasping arm.

Got a funny idea; the container that will be in the front yard, will light up with pulsing green glow,
as if it contains some kind of radioactive stuff.
The 3 containers in the back will have no lights as if the're empty. :D

Started sanding the case, to prep it for painting.

Hmm, this piece was irritating me all the time.

    So, I cut it out.

And inserted a nice new piece.

After painting, it wont stick out like a sore thumb any more.

Mounted the two sidepanels with rivets and construction-glue.

Overview with the top on it.

    View from the other side.

In the game, when the vehicle is folded out, we see 4 hydraulic feet on the side.
Lets try to make that too.

First try-out in paper.... way to square. Rejected.

Second try-out, now with more elevated sides.

Same design, now in cardboard layout.

The small feet is also made like this.

Hmmmm.... first test with the actual case-side panel.

Nop, this is way to straight, have to redo my homework.... :(

Made another 4 legs, this time in polystyreen.

And this is how it looks like after assembling with model-glue.

To attach them to the case ( and make it able to disassemble for transport ), I thought
of this. A M6 nut and a short bolt.

I am glueing the nut into the hollow leg, then attach it to the case with the bolt.

This is how the leg looks like after a spot of paint and a sticker.

    Ofcourse that times 4.

Lets get them on, first drill a hole.

Then stick the bolt through it from the underside.

Then simple screw the leg onto it.

    Twice per side.

    Just like in the game.

I'll trust you on that. Now a question, what's that Grolsch like? Is it a dark beer?

That one he had on his picture; yes. It's one of the season beers from Grolsch

    I reckon Frenkie normally drinks the light green bottles, the same as I drink;

In the UK it's always best to look for the "swing top" Grolsch, swing tops are imported. Otherwise (in the UK) you're drinking pish that's brewed under license by Coors in Burton on Trent. Do Grolsch do many seasonal beers? It's not something we see much of here.

Anyway back to topic. Update please.

    Sprayed the top with spray-filler.

With first coat, after this a light sanding then second coat.

For the third coat I found this special structure paint ( english transl.? )

On these pictures the color seems to be off,but the structure is awesome. Close-up of
that structure, it almost seems like spraying sand.

Also sprayed the inside of the case, dull-black. Yes, also the P1 mobo :)

    From the other side.

For the front and rear, I used this special black-metallic paint.

looks a bit like Hammerite, also a bit special IMO.

Maybe the case looks like its coming to an end, but I have several suprises waiting for you all. ;)
