    Hi everyone,

As promised I have a little update. I received some goodies this morning. Some of it is from our boys in the U.S

Without further ado, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

I think a few people might recognise these ;) . These are even more beautiful in real life and a tribute to American workmanship.

Wow. I love the look of these grills. Again these feel very high quality.

All the way from MNPCtech to my little village in England :D

Ok next up are the vandal switches. These will replace the stock PWR/RESET buttons.
I just need to sort out the exposed wires with some heatshrink.

The PWR is the white ring and RESET is the white dot.

These are the replacement PCI slots.

100X better than the stock PCI stocks.

Here is a sneak peak of the Bitspower rad grill. All will be revealed a little later. ;)

Some fan extension cables to ensure a tidy interior. Dangly and exposed wires are a big no-no.

These cables will help to simplify the wiring.

Replacement rear thumb screws. They look a bit more classy for a black case IMO.
*Pic is a bit blurry. I'm a real novice with photos*.

Here are all the screws! These will replace all the stock chassis, HD, PCI screws etc.
I feel it's the little touches that will add a great deal to the overall look.

Ok. So there you have it for the moment. I will do some work over the weekend and show all the new bits installed.

Just another update. I've been working all evening eating curry and drinking a few well earned beers.

Overall view of how things are progressing.

    The new case feet fitted.

Vented PCI slots and grill installed. Fan wire routed behind mobo panel.

Radgrill plated fitted. I will attach the mesh/rad/fans shortly.

View of the rear case fan

Next update will probably involve fitting the PWR/RESET switches.

    Thanks everyone.

Just a very small update today.

I got the res. I like the white acrylic which will provide a nice contrast to the black coolant.

View of the res. It will be part of a res/pump combo.

    The screw cap.

I've screwed in some Bitspower barbs for now. Although I may use some right angle fittings later on.

I will light the res with 2 X white LEDs. This should look pretty cool. Just need one more LED.

The LEDs fit into 5mm holes in the res.

That's it for now. I should have another update at the end of the week.

I got the case, braid, and fans from Kustom. It's one of the best stores in the UK. Great service and very friendly staff.

    Another little update today.

I've installed the rad fans and mesh.

Just an overall view of how things are progressing. I've also done some more wiring including some fan extension cables to ensure I can hide the cables around the chassis.

    That's it for now.

Really not a fan of those bolts. I think some nice anodized black Hex bolts would look far nicer.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Don't know if I will keep these bolts. See how it looks when I've done some more modding. They were in my 'randoms' box. I think they look pretty cool with the naked eye and suit the theme I'm going for.

It looks like Bitspower dry-bored the pump top. The LED holes and the impeller exaust are melted a little.:(
Some sanding and polishing of the milled outer surfaces would be an improvement.

I agree, black hex-bolts would look much better. The grill looks really good though.

Also, wouldn't you want the fans to be exhausting the air?

No, and besides in my experience push or pull makes a negligible amount of difference in temps. It's one of those endless debates. I will be installing an exhaust fan shortly.

I wasn't referring to the rad temps. I was referring to the fact that the hot air is being kept in the case, not expelled.

    I understand.

A number of other modifications regarding air flow have yet to be implemented. I agree, dead pockets of hot air are a big no-no.

The build is still in a very early stage.

    Thanks for the feedback. :)

I see a problem with the switch by the looks. It looks soldered too me and you have PWR and RESET SWR with the LED's all in one. The A05 as all other Lian-Li's need to have the reset drilled bigger which you probs know of already but how do you intende too pass the switches and cable through?

    Hi,

I have a 16mm drill standing by to fit the reset switch.

I have altered the switches since I took a picture of them. They are now separate.

There will be no problems with the switches and routing the cable etc. You just have to modify the chassis a bit :)

I was going via the fact they were pre wired and looked to be soldered which would of ment a need too mod it and other problems i listed before you said about you've changed it. Aye know of the drilling already, fitter a few in my time and just fitting 2 into my A05B as well.

I fitted the rad. It's a Stealth GT with 2X120 Yate 20mm fans.

It blocks the top PCI slot but that's not a problem for me. There is plenty of room for the motherboard too. It's quite stealthy and looking from the side with the window panel on its well concealed.
